  • Yes, thats what I thought they did. i'm sure if you phone and explain (demand!) they wait another quarter to get more realistic results then they will be OK.

I'm with you on the lenses, you save up otherwise you will feel guilty every time you put them on! Why is it that just when you start to see the finish line life always throws a few more hurdles in your path?

Ive still not broached the Turkey subject with OH, its manic this week with parents evenings, after school clubs etc etc and I have to pick my moment!

Glad you had a good night out, OH's out tomorrow and its my turn next week (payday!) and boy am I ready for it!

    Good luck with SP cg

  • I can't believe it. On the way to the child minders this am and yet another warning light flashed up on my car! This month is not going well.

One of my ebay items ended tonight £31 :o but one with lots of watchers didn't sell  so thats been relised. Another couple of items have bids on now so thats all good.

Dug out my matched betting file and procrastinated for the last hour with it. I need a clear head to take the first step and tonight is not the night for it.

Feeling a little down and I've got a difficult day at work tomorrow.

However in the scheme of things these things are all little hiccups on the road out of debt (baileys for me now as well!).

Bit early for me for Baileys but hold that thought and I'll have 1 tonight. I hate cars! OHs car has something wrong with the ABS, he has disconnected it for now but a new unit is probably going to be £500! His MOT is due in Feb. My back brake calipers are not making very healthy noises and its MOT is due in April and nil points in the car account! My thoughts are with you.

End result is our DD payment is going up by £31 because they can't get their estimates right!! I go online once a month and put our meter readings in so I don't get any nasty suprises.

    Not feeling very positive now!

Swines! Can you switch again, especially as British Gas has dropped its prices?

  • I'm certainly thinking about it but we switched to a FP tariff before the big prices hikes last year so it prices will have to come down a bit more before its worth doing I think. Makes me cross though since I've been ensuring they get regular meter reading so that this didn't happen  . I'm letting it go :D

Lost a MS today because I'd not done something on the website  but i picked up another one as well.

My ebay bits are going well and according to my cals I'm £50s short of clearing the target 1 cc this month.

  • Hey good news on target 1 cc, there are still 7 days to go, a few sneaky MS and you will do it!

Sorry to hear about your car and SP troubles, but some things are out of our control and you do right to let it go.. On the bright side it will soon be payday :)! Can't believe we are almost in February!

Hubby is snoring gently on settee, nowt on TV think i'm going to read my book!

  • Thanks CG - I know lots of things are out of our control but sometimes it just grinds you down.

I'm am feeling more positive mentally scanning the house for the next batch of stuff to sell. I will hit my target this month and clear the RBS card:p . I've got 2 MS's next week and one the week after plus a load of stuff ending on ebay.

I think I may have the Jan blues...diet/fitness/health has gone out the window....no change there then.

My OH is snoring one the new sofa's in the c/tory !!

  • Hiya Workinghard - Hope your difficult day at work went ok - I can sympathise with the Sp d/d going up - We are with British Gas and ours has just gone up by £52 per month - but Im not too bothered because when it was set up I knew we weren't paying enough, I have still been a little more pedantic about turning lights off etc though.
So glad to hear that you are nearly there with clearing your first cc. I have a card with a current balance of £1042 - its all at 0% so it makes sense to pay the extra on one of the biggy cards, but from a motivational point of view it would be good to see that card gone altogether.
    Have a great weekend!

  • Your so right about sometimes just getting a card cleared. For us though the RBS card is at the highest rate so getting the last of that cleared will be FANTASTIC.
