Just listed another 7 items on ebay - I'm making the most of it whilst I'm exceptionally highly motivated - it won't last! None of them are high value but if they all sell thats £7 in the bag!Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0

Yay! Another £7 closer to your £144!
I'm under orders from OH to clean up today lol! so am going to face the music and get weighed then for a quick coffee at mates and home to clean up! Who knows I might find the courage to delve under DS2's bed & be listing on ebay before I know it.
Just had a text from a friend and shes managed to get a 2 bed villa in Turkey in August for 2wks & flights for £2k!!! I'll be having words with OH tonight Turkey sounding good to me!

Turkey sounds fantastic - I went there about 12 years ago and it was so lovely...OH needs to be worked on me thinks!
Two steps forward and one back I think is my motto for 2009 so far.
The bad news:- My lovely car ( ) which i used to like (!) flashed the engine warning light at me again tonight - like it did last month that doesn't sound cheap does it?
- It also flashed a bulb out light as well: That should be quick to fix (OH will do that
)
- My briefcase which I used for work decided to break this am:o
- Picked up 2 more mystery shops today - felt guilty about checking whilst at work but needs must
- Got OH to agree to sell a couple of bits in the garage
Together they should fetch £150:D
- Ebay stuff is doing OK and should manage to raise £50 from the stuff that ends in a couple of days

Oh dear car sounds ominous, fingers crossed its nothing too serious for you.
I have to draw OH in slowly, let him think its his idea before I reel him in lol! I've not done a villa before but if its that price i'll give it a go!
Well done on your Ebaying, £150 profit would be great! and on the MS's. I sneaked another one in today but thats the last one till next week, unless something comes in. I can't get into ebaying at the moment, i'm going to list some books on amazon instead and see how that goes.
keep your chin up! cg xCC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0 -
Thanks Compingirl.
Good luck on the holiday plans
I've looked at Amazon for books but it didn't look like it generates much money since all the powersellers (or the Amazon equivalent) sell for a 1p. You'll have to share how you get on.
I'm in the zone for Ebay at present just so I can get my target 2 cards cleared asap. It also means the house is getting cleared out slowly but surely.
I'm crossing everything on the car although I can't get it into the garage until next Tuesday.Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
OK I am officially renaming this month: One Step forward and Three Back
Striving to see the positives:
Ebay stuff is going well and I should at least £60 from sales in the the next couple of days
Done a mystery shop today - £60 due next week from all the shops I've done recently
The Maybe
Car is booked in to the garage tomorro
The not so good
I went for a contact lense and eye test today. I've got new contact lenses and I've managed to get the monthly DD down from £13 to £10 - £3 per month:rolleyes:
My glasses prescription needs changing and the quote i was given for my lenses was ..............£300 and thats using my existing frames:eek:
Still I'm on a rare night out tonight with some friends. So I'll park my worries and have a giggle :rotfl:Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
Blooming norah that is really expensive for your lenses.

Bloomin Norah indeed! Thats an extortionate amount for lenses! What are they made of pure crystal lol! But if you need them you need them, thats life unfortunately.
Ive done OK on amazon, you don't make much when you list for 1p but I recycle envelopes and only do cheap postage so generally make 75p - £1.50 per book - not much but it does mount up. I've made about £10 per month for 3/4 months now but the main thing is its clearing the clutter and making some room!
We've rejoined the library because my 2 get through books like nobody's business so thats saving a bit and they can read as much as their heart desires!
Have a fab night out cg xCC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0 -
Ok I am now officially renaming the month again:
ONe step forward and four back...
Scottish Power want to put up my DD payment from £127 to £167:mad: . They want to do this because I've been entering monthly meter readings (so I don't get caught out with them) and they are taking my monthly payments based on the winters payments (high because Xmas, cold, at home a lot). My understanding is that you pay a fixed amount which is averaged out across the year since your usage is higher in the winter than in the summer. Simple I would have thought but not for those ejits at SP. So tomorrow I need to have a row with them ref the 30% hike...
The lenses are expensive aren't they. I am going to shop around since I am sure I can better the price. I have got a quote for the top of the range lenses but I hate wearing glasses and therefore when I have to wear them they need to do the job required. OH said to get them  . HE still doesn't get sometimes that after a year plus of DFW doing things like that was how we got into this mess. My plan is to save the money, on top of debt busting, by the end of next month. I will get a real kick out of ordering them knowing that they are paid for in cash not credit.
I had a lovely evening out with some girls friends. Forgot about everything until I got in and switched on the PC.
