  • Oh its all such joy isn't it.

The new sofa's have arrived but they are in the garage at present since the delivery men wouldn't bring them around the back - which we suspected would happen. This will be a challenege for OH and myself tonight then!

    onwards with the ebaying

  • Hi WHDFW,
Hope you enjoy the new sofas! Its lovely when you get something new, so feet up, kids in bed, dog in garage! and enjoy the moment! These are the moments you are working hard for!

Well done on the MSing! Ive got another 7 booked in for this month i'm really enjoying them! I'd better make the most of it though, my enthusiasm doesn't seem to last more than a couple of months before I find something else to flit on to! i'm going to search out some ebay stuff to list too.

We moved offices this weekend and it was my first day in today and I feel sea sick! The computer screens, desk and chairs vibrate when people walk past! Ive had to wedge the computer screen up with my desk calendar to stop it moving! Apparently its high tech earthquake proof flooring! I'm taking a sealegs tomorrow just hope I don't drop to sleep! Or if I do that no one notices lol!

Anyway, enjoy the sofas - get the dog a muzzle! compingirlx

  • Thanks Compingirl.

Sounds like your office move is a nightmare!!

The conservatory with the new furniture is so lovely now. OH and I sat out there last night with the paper (brough home from work of course). The dog out looking in very sadly...It was a laugh bringing the sofa's round the back of the house in the dark with 3 kids watching :D All good fun:rotfl: We both sat down and thought about how much we'd enjoyed being able to get them particularly after the year plus of debt busting.

    Debt busting contines apace.

I bit on an ebay item which is £25 :j . I didn't list anything last night but I've listed a couple of things tonight so I'm back on track which is good. Quite a few bits have watchers as well so all good news.

    Picked up another mystery shop

Back to the day job now :rotfl:

  • Ha, I do indeed know the joys of furniture delivery! Glad they are in place and intact!

Well done on the ebaying, i've got to get some done this weekend - keep putting it off just the thoughts of delving under ds2's bed can bring me out in a cold sweat!

Ive been better at the office today, think i'm finally acclimatised thank heavens

have a great weekend (you can tell ive finished or the week lol!) compingirlx

  • I with you on the perils of venturing into/under/behind kids beds/furniture. I'm listing a couple of bits tonight just to keep the momentum going. I've got about three boxes of stuff stacked in the garage much to OH's annoyance.

Whilst i was walking the hound tonight i reflected on getting the new furniture. I reckon it must be 10 years since we bought something without the pang of guilt that spending on a CC brings. Whilst this was entirely guilt free we knew that if we'd dropped the CC payments down to the min we could have bought them outright this month. HOw I am looking forward to going clothes shopping in 11 months time, and not hiding stuff in the wardrobe, bringing it out at a later date. That thought is keeping me on track.

The 0% cc is not a myth its a reality and is sitting on the PC looking at me. I don't know why I am so excited I'm not intending to use the card just the 0% BT opportunities it brings:D . I can't believe we've actually got one.

I can't wait for payday this month (apart from it will be a long month) since et to nearly clear the RBS card there will be £400 left on it. How exciting:rolleyes: - Simple pleasures!

  • I know what you mean, we've always bought big things on credit but it just drags on and you've no sooner paid for one thing when you need something else.

We bought a new suite in October and paid for it outright!! Which has never, ever happened in this house before! Its a lovely feeling, I feel in control of the money for the first time ever!

We have 3 0% deals at the minute. I've managed to switch one of my CC to a new 0% (Tesco :) )but only £3k of it so i'm £1700 short! I am debating what to do? Ive got to try & transfer another CC in April (banking my hopes on Post Office for that one!) and might stick the extra on that if they will let me, but the first is in my name and the 2nd in OH name so don't know if they will allow it. I'm just going to try and pay as much off it as I can between now and then, as you say roll on payday.

Its my intention to pay off 2 cards this year then I will be able to join you in a guilt free clothes shopping spree to end all shopping spree's! All bought and paid for on a cash back CC paid off in full of course (gota love those points!)and hopefully 2 sizes smaller than my current wardrobe lol!

Whatever you are up to today have a good one! compingirl

  • Thanks both

Working today and I think I've managed a NSD which is good.

I was so paranoid about applying for a0% deal that I so glad that I finally got around to it. For us it put £4k of the debt at 0%. We'll be able to clear the RBS card at the end of Feb and the IF card at the end of March. That will leave us at least two cards with which to shuffle around. Two of our cards are on LOB offers so I might just leave them to clear. I need to ponder.

Feeling a little disponded. I've got some ebay stuff ending tonight and nothing selling :o . Sometimes little things can skupper your motivation can't they. I'll be OK just keep plodding on with it all.
