You guys can always make me laugh - thanks as always for the support which is always appreciated.
I can only do it in bite sized steps others wise the £24k of debt becomes too overwhelming.
Always up for a challenege as well.
I'm not sure what this scratchcard stuff is about though. Maybe I need to pop over to H's thread to check it out.Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
Just listed another couple of bits on ebay to keep with my constant drip feeding of the stuff on. Just left with wrapping a few bits now to post on the way home from work tomorrow. The joys of ebaying. Just got my DD to clear out her wardrobe of stuff that doesn't fit or she does like (!) so I need to sort through that and see what can be sold.
One MS to do tomorrow and one on Tuesday - nothing else picked up as yet.
Apart from that all quiet on the debt busting front until payday which still seems a long way off. The week will be challenging on the food budget side since there is a small amount left in the budget to eck out to payday - needs must though.
Just checked on the new 0% card and the BT has gone through :j . This leaves my top two target cards at:
RBS (19%) £1472 aiming to clear this month (fingers crossed)
IF card (16.9%) £1999 aiming to clear next month of which £1476 is allocateded debt payments (including my extra £200 pm) so I'll be c£500 short. I'm not sure I'll be able to generate an extra £700 in Feb so I may need to leave clearing the IF card to March - Still fantastic though.
Once cleared the IF card will be closed - finally a card closed :T
RBS I'm intending to have a little chat with and see what deals they can do me. I notice from the website they offering some 0% deals and it would be superfantastic if I could get a good deal from them (0% ideally) and see if I can shift one of our LOB cards (7.6% and 6.9%) to them. If I could do this I would be saving £27pm in interest (mind you I'd need to take the BT fee into account but I sure it would still be a saving).
Shifting the card debt was part of the generating income per month as well.
Still lets not get too far ahead of myself. Aiming to clear the RBS card this month and the IF card next month or March at the very latest. Off to route through DD's old clothes now !Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
You sound very motivated and I am sure that card will be cleared in no time - I have a few things on ebay, but seem to be running out of 'stuff' Mind you, some of the stuff thats on at the moment was dragged out of the loft where it had been for the past 8 years or so!Emergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0

I tend to think that I'll run out of stuff but a simple clear out usually produces a small pile of 'stuff' to dispose of.
I've sorted through DD's stuff and about to list another load of stuff. It made me realise that she's going to need a whole lot more stuff pretty soon - partic as she is now getting aware of what she's got and wants to chose!
Just checked ebay before I begin listing again - 1 bid on another item and lots of watchers on quite a few others. All pennies for the debt busting potWorking Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
hi WH
you seem back on track again, ive still not done any ebaying, not done much at all this weekend, seem to spend my life cleaning, ironing and taxiing kids around! I am desperate for the month to end, we (OH!!) overspent massively at xmas so things are a bit tight at the mo'. I'm trying hard to stay within the agreed od but there's still a long way to go, but at least Febs a nice short month.
Do you ever find yourself wishing your (financial) life away? I'm always jiggling my budgets and long for the day we wont have to worry about money, its consuming my every thought at the minute, I am abit OCD with things tho'.
OH car tax and insurance due next month, and we've still not booked that elusive holiday! and ive been rubbish on my diet all week and its weigh day tomorrow! It never rains as they say!
Sorry for rambling, i'm going to start my own thread where I can ramble to my hearts content!
What I wanted to say is well done you and can't wait to read about your successes later this week bye for now compingirl xCC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0 -

I'm so with you on wishing the financial months away. I'm always forcasting forward with my planner to see what things look like in 1/2/3 months etc. Sad but helps with the motivation.
Ouch on the car front. We had that last month and it wasn't pleasant plus three garage bills for my car in quick sucession didn't help either. My insurance is due next week but I've already renewed it (not via quidco) but £70 better than the renewal quote.
Its nice to have a fellow rambler on here - I always look at my posts and wonder why I can just post a few lines rather than pages full !
