Pay day today - always a good day :j
Paid £815 off the target CC which now has a balance of £2484. From Jan we'll be paying £1000 off this a month so that will be cleared by Feb  . I'm liking it!!!
Sorted out my childcare vouchers today. The result of the mix up (i'm being polite) is that I'll have a December deduction of £265 but that will come out of the extra that I've worked in November and will be paid in December. It won't actually be that much due to the tax/Ni/pension stuff but I've got it covered which is the important thing.
Also taken the step of provionally booking next years holiday - we're doing it early to get a slight discount! Very excited just need to start thinking about weight busting :rotfl:

How could I forget this now I've made the CC/loan payments this month our debt now stands at £30074!!!!! only £74 away from our target of being sub £30k by the end of the year. So with next months repayments we'll be well into our 20k's:D
Mind you I need to re-do my totals to take account of the taking the new  car loan/old car loan out of the debt busting equation - for now!
I may do that later but for now I want to enjoy having knocked £22k for our debt in a little over 12 months :TWorking Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
yay! how well have you done!
i'm the one with the car bill today - £300, ouch!
i'm paid on friday and am waiting to see how much i will be paid - long story, but will either just cover everything or be quite generous. fingers crossed;).
p.s. going anywhere nice on your hols next year? x0 -
Ouch is right £300 - I've had two car bills in the last few weeks which ran to £350 so I'm with you on that.
Its always nice to be paid a bit extra isn't it although you have to work for it. Next month will be good for me and then from Jan onwards its the extra hours and the extra money.
We're going to France again since its fairly cheap and within our budget. That said we blew the budget last year but that was because we underbudgeted this time lasy year to get the books to balanceand the rising cost of fuel, food and the euro rate all conspired against us. hopefully this year I won't be looking at my holiday spending diary (yes I was that sad :rotfl: ) and thinking  the budget :rotfl: . Good to have something to look forward too.

That is great news - under £30k certainly is an achievement :j I bet you can't wait to find an odd £74 lying around so you can make that payment!
I have had to make a few cc payments today (to avoid late charges) but that means that things are even tighter (they always are in the last week of the month) - OH commented that there wasn't much 'snacky' food in and suggested I do a Tesco shop - only problem is, I don't have the money at all just now - How sad is that? - I feel really low about things todayEmergency Savings Fund - £11002015 Mortgage overpayments = £0 -
You're not alone on having no snacks/treats in the house. our house is the same. I brought my DS1 and a friend home tonight after a mini hockey event which his school won. In the car they were asking could they have a biscuit, crisps, cake etc and there was nothing in. All I could offer was an icecream which was left from the summer..:o
I can so remember how it feels but think even if you think about the fact that you are not adding to your debt let alone what you've just paid off the debt thats all really positive stuff.
It does get better and if you are like us you'll get used to living within your means and enjoying the challenge of doing so. Deep Deep breath I am about to change my signature to reflect the CC debt that we are aiming to clear. The loan is now outside of our target to be DF our DF target is too clear the 5  credit cards.
When I was including the loan our totals were like this:
Debt at highest Nov 07 £52,000 (2 loans, 5 cc's all maxed out and 1 OD) to Nov 08 £30,074 (1 loan and 5 cc's all with space!)
Excluding the loan when our debts were at their highest the figures look like this:
Debt at highest Nov 07 £36,000 (1 loan, 5 cc's and 1 OD as above) to Nov 08 £24,077 (5cc's all with space!).
So not a bad effort !Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
