I left Outfox The Market at midnight

I left on the 11th and contacted them that day to explain that I was in credit which was more than enough to cover the last payment I wanted no more payments taken from my account I was told that was fine and the direct debit would be cancelled.
A few hours later I received an email saying my direct debit had been cancelled.
Today I received this email
We are writing to advise you that your original Direct Debit was returned unpaid by your bank.
Please contact us on 0800 1032702 or e-mail us at dd@outfoxthemarket.co.uk to arrange an alternative method of payment.0 -

Billing date is the 13th of the month for me there is no bill available yet and it should only be the final bill I should receive fingers crossed unfortunately I have no trust in this company so will wait and see what they do next.have the billed you just to 11 November? I have sent them an email with my chat transcript clearly showing they cancelled the direct debit but I have a feeling a £25 charge may be slapped on my final bill0 -
guys how do we prevent ourselves from being ripped off by this company. it seems the only way is to cancel the DD0
