Yes I got the Sonos one. Really pleased with it.

Going to get the Sonos Play Bar after Christmas. Anyone got it?

    Thanks very much guys

    Merry Christmas
  • What is your budget? With the brands you are mentioning this doesnt sound like you want to upgrade your hifi, rather have a more up to date name on the front.

Wireless is never going to sound as good as a cable based set up.

If you really intend to uprade in terms of audio quality you need hifi seperates and to be looking at brands such as Marantz, Arcam or Naim depending on budget.

I don't know much about Sonos to be honest, but I do know that it is famous for NOT being the way to make a 5.1 home cinema system. No DTS support. Ends up expensive and not very good.

Depends how you view your films.....Using a DVD or Blueray player would be a problem, you can get players that convert DTS to DD if you are entrenched.
Streaming is done in DD so it's not a problem for those using streaming for their film content.
I got rid of my Bluerays and DVD's, long ago along with the players.
I have the Sonos beam and it sounds amazing in a large lounge setting. I will be getting a couple of Sonos plays for rear speakers after Christmas. The Sub is unnecessary and admittedly, over priced.
It produces a great sound when streaming music.
