You are totally bias to employer side, and of course i won't agree with you, the main point is here, that. your argument about workplace and playground explains everything, you forget employers responsibilities too. Unfair treatment of workers brings hate, anger and demotivation, and many other negative impact to the business. I would agree that if its clearly that worker takes a !!!! about sickness, they should not get a penny from company, but again this is not the case.
I don't need to agree with anything i'v been told if this is not true to my findings.

I doubt a trade union official is bias to the employer. More just stating the legal position.

Maybe for the benefit of everyone on MSE you could share your findings.

I'm pretty sure Sangie is very well versed in employer's responsibilities. If an employer chooses to adopt different approaches for different members of staff which result in resentment that's their prerogative as its their business. You are of course free to set up your own business and deploy your own sickness policy - as long as its within the law.

what ever i mentioned in this post, this accusations which are always unfounded personally me holding false accusations which damages many workers reputation at work place. The reason for doing that is not get rid of workers who are pretending being sick, but most everyone who goes on sick. And the reason for withholding CSP using false accusations is that employer wants to bring sick workers back to work as soon as possible (even being sick).
This is not in employers absence policy!

And the most important this what made me right this post was not the companies sick pay demand, but false accusation existence. If there is a case where employer is right, i agree 100% of any of they decisions

    I'm not?

I have yet to see a single person who agrees with you that's all. Perhaps they're hiding in the shadows waiting to provide a golden ticket to resolve this.

is that what you should do if employer start treat you unfair? Run like a chicken? As someone mentioned this is workplace, worker is not a thing - and when employer employ a worker, he makes a commitment treat him like everyone else, not treat him like a dog if he wants. In many comments i feel no respect for employees at all.
