Slipping Through My Fingers

K - can't say visiting the hairdressers is something I enjoy. I'm in and out in a flash. Wash, cut and gone. I dry it at home because I can't be faffed with them doing it in there. I wish I could enjoy pampering sessions but they really hold no appeal. I had a manicure once and was so bored sat there making polite conversation. :rotfl:
Yeah I feel the same lol, I am not a girly girl and have never really been into pampering (I bit my nails from the age of 5 till last year :rotfl:)
I just keep forgetting to have money put aside for it lol xxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

JJ - thank you so much for letting me know. It's really helpful knowing what's happened with other people. DD hasn't received anything as yet so they might be waiting for all the guarantor checks to come back before they move onto the next stage. Every time I see her, text her or email her I keep saying DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNTIL WE'VE SEEN IT. :rotfl:
K - I suppose I'm a bit odd in that I like wearing a bit of make-up, have my hair cut regularly (under duress :rotfl:) and splash perfume on every day. But it's other people messing with me that I can't stand. It's not because I don't like being touched or anything, I'm forever throwing hugs out, but the whole 'pampering' thing just doesn't do it for me. I used to bite my nails until I was about 13Can't even imagine doing it now. xx

My mum got daffodils from Aldi , they were also in M&S . I don't spend a fortune on make up and use Johnson's baby lotion and Avon face cream. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Hi Cumbria. I didn't find any daffodils when I went shopping so thanks for the heads up. I love those cheerful little flowers and I'm desperate for some now I'm thinking about them - I need them even more than chocolate
I've never spent a lot on make up/beauty products either. TBH I'm allergic to a lot of stuff so that probably helps. Had to have a couple of days off work once after a particularly nasty experience with a very posh face cream that shall remain nameless. The cream I use was £2 in Wilko, so I walked 30 extra steps to QS and bought 2 for that price. I am so MSE these days. xx0 -
Day 12/28, 10 NSD's, Prolific £17.02 cleared, £1.45 pending, Cash £13.75 for 8th-15th Feb
I've actually spent some money today.
£7.50 on make up and face cream - 50p off the lipstick so even cheaper than expected
£2.50 birthday cards
Total spend £10
Spent a lot more out of the joint account - £39.30 but if I'd not done my usual price comparison for the weekly shop it would have been £5.05 more. Still not transferring this saving anywhere. Really need to get into the habit of doing that even if it's just a pot for top up shops, rather than for something specific.
Shoppix coins are at 1,985. Did a small survey for 20 points and got a scratchcard, which won me 50 points :T
RH coins are at 690 but I'm keeping some receipts back to upload next week so more to add on.
Had a 20p survey from PA. Just need £1.53 now to get me to my magic £20.
Hope you've all had a good day. xx0 -
They were selling daffodils in my local Coop too for a pound a bunch I think TF2. I love daffodils too
.
I don't spend a lot on make up, I usually get Rimmel mascara and powder and whatever face cream is on special offer. Can you recommend Nivea as a face cream because that sounds really cheap? Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Glad you had a good day

I've been using Nivea for years HHD. Even the creams with 'nothing in them' brought me out in red blotches so I'm really glad I found something that doesn't irritate my skin.
If you're just looking for a moisturiser then I'd say give it a go but it doesn't offer any miracle cures of making wrinkles disappear etc. :rotfl:
The one I use is in a 75ml tube and it's called Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream for face, body, hands. If you don't like it it's not too much of a loss money wise either. Lasts quite a while as you don't need much. I use it to take my make up off as well.
I usually buy Boots Natural Collection or Collection 2000. Think everything in my make up bag probably only totals £10, if thatxx
