It's amazing how savings and desires change over time isn't it?

Gone are the days of Jackie magazine!

HG - I loved Jackie. The other one was Blue Jeans but wasn't so keen on that. Hubby bought me a Cathy & Claire problem book for my birthday one year - must have been well into my 30's, and when I read them we were full of teenage angst but oh so innocent. Yes indeed, those days are well and truly over :( xx

    Day 9/28, 8/15 NSD's, Prolific £11.65 cleared £4.02 pending, Cash £23.75 for 8th-15th Feb

Just over £4 to go and some money to clear before I can cash out PA. Fingers crossed it doesn't take too long to get there.

I've been given the green light to be guarantor for DD so that's good news. But another parent hasn't so I think they need to provide more information. And DD doesn't even know if the 3rd girl has submitted anything yet. So for the time being, my pen is poised but I'm not ready to commit ink to paper just yet. No point me binding myself and DD to something if she's the only one who ends up going ahead with it. It's all a bit of a faff tbh with students and parents all relying on each other to make it happen. I'm not a very good team player when it comes to things like this. I like to be in control of what I'm doing especially when money and legalities are involved.

It's very windy here but so far no damage, usually the fence blows down! Hope you all have a good day. xx

I'm glad you've been approved for the guarantor thing (I think!). I expect you'll be reading the small print very carefully . I don't blame you for holding back until you know the other parents have been approved. You could have an official joint signing session over Skype :rotfl:. We haven't heard back from ours yet, so I don't know if that's good news or bad news :o.

You're doing well on Prolific :T. I usually cash out when it's just over £10 as I like to get the money in my account as soon as possible :D.

    Have a good weekend :).

HHD - do you know if you get penalised for cashing out before £20? I'm sure I read something along those lines but I'll go and have another look. If not, I'll be cashing out as well. :) x

There is small fees for cashing out under £20 - I usually do it anyway because I hate waiting :o :rotfl:

Glad you got approved for DD, hope the other girls get it sorted so you know where you stand

Had anyone used circle to cash out on PA? I know it's only a small charge, but it adds up.

Great news about DD, housing sounds like a nightmare getting it all in place. My eldest has discussed about localish unis near us, but I want her to have the full student experience. Think it'd work out cheaper to live compared to 120miles commute. she's far to sensible for 14 and who knows if she'll go!

Yes I pay a small fee which is why I cash out when it gets to around £10.50 so I get at least £10. I know some people wait until it's at £20 so they don't have the fee. I use Paypal but you get it same day now which is great if you're really up against it.

I have used circle since I started with PA. It's quick and I've had no problems with it. It's also fee free over a certain amount.

Circle is free over £20 - I usually find it works well but had an issue last week when my money didn't turn up in my bank account. Contacted them, got an email back in seconds and they said they'd had some problems with payments to UK banks bouncing back to them - they asked me to do it again so I did and it worked perfectly the second time. And they credited me £2 for my trouble. Rather impressed with that despite the initial error.
