Just on the topic of Receipt Hog - I used to do it and no longer do. It took me about 5 months to cash out a £3 or £5 Paypal credit (I can't remember which now). I use Shoppix instead (don't suppose there's any reason you can't do both) and I've cashed out probably £20 in 6 months. It's much the same app but you do little satisfaction surveys for some of the shops that you upload receipts for (like how's the staff, was there a good selection etc) to earn extra points and you get scratchcards for hitting new levels of uploading and that gives extra points too. I find I cash out much more frequently with them.

Hi Homegrown, thanks for that info. RH is definitely one where you have to be patient, my theory of every little helps will certainly be put to the test. :rotfl: Shoppix sounds good, I'll definitely have a look into that. I quite like doing surveys so would enjoy that side of things especially if I'm going to be rewarded. Have a lovely day. Just realised, I've been lurking on your diary for months, I'll pop by and say hello later on. Your work life always sounds so exciting, although maybe not so much when you're juggling other things and a family :o Have a lovely day. x

Morning Wannabe, my inspirational debt busting buddy :) Foggy here today. DS was definitely hoping for a snow day and was so disappointed when he woke up this morning, bless him. Hope DS enjoys his school trip and you have a lovely day. It really is all sounding very good at your end. Long may it continue. xx

    Afternoon All :)

    Day 24/31, 13 NSD's, Prolific £2.80 cleared, £2.17 pending, Cash £24.76 for 21st-31st January.

Hoping for another NSD today. It's all very quiet on the money front. My cash needs to last me until 31st January which won't be a problem but I'm looking forward to my February kitty hitting the bank so I can top up some pots.

I've driven myself crazy the past 24 hours trying to crochet a hat. I've made dozens of the flipping things for charity but not for quite a while and for some reason my mind has gone blank. The videos I've looked at aren't the pattern I use and it's become a challenge to figure it out. Getting a bit worried now that I'm losing my marbles. I must have unpicked this wool a dozen times. Going to walk the dogs now and hopefully getting away from it for a while will re-boot my system.

Hope you figured it out, it's something I've never been able to do. I can't knit either! I've tried so many times and it just makes me annoyed :o

I did :T Was literally missing one row out but it was the row that made the difference between it becoming round or staying a square. :o I've made 2 hats this afternoon. I knit, sew and crochet, mostly for charities. It gives me something to do, doesn't cost me a lot and the charities always seems grateful for what I send. xx

When youngest first went into hospital unwell we where in resus and they gave us a lovely crochet blanket. She still has it now too and the girls play with it all the time.

Glad you got it worked out and you've done so much this afternoon. I'm glad the fog lifted but it's still so cold!

Oh goodness, DD being in resus must have been really scary for you.:( I've made blankets and quilts for Project Linus who give them out to children in hospital so similar to what your DD was given. It's lovely that she's still got hers. Some things I make stay in the UK some go abroad. x

Thanks WB. It's been quiet but stress free on the crochet front so all is good :D

    Day 25/31, 15 NSD's, Prolific £3.80 cleared, 67p pending, Cash £24.76 for 21st-31st January.

Got to my target of 15 NSD's so every one's a bonus now. I've been waiting for something to clear in my bank for nearly 2 weeks and finally got notification today it's gone through. Just need to check with somebody that that's definitely the case at their end and hopefully I won't have to think about it again. Need to be careful how I do things in future :o

I've registered with Shoppix and have taken pics of a few receipts. I'll do some more later on. On Receipt Hog you get bonus goes of the slot machines and on Shoppix it's scratchcards which adds a bit of fun to the whole proceedings.

Off to tackle the pots now, although it's dishwasher night so it'll only take 10 mins. Since DD went to Uni there aren't as many dirty pots so I wash up by hand mostly these day. But Friday is a big roast dinner night so I treat myself to the dishwasher :D Simple pleasures :rotfl: x
