:p Mebbe time to go the bidet route, for those with bathroom space enough and money/ inclination?

When I was in hospital having bub, they did not have a bidet but instead they used a shower head and you sat on the edge of the bath to use it. I thought it was a great idea and sometimes use it at home even now if the need arises.

:) One thing I have heard from the farming fraternity is the reason agricultural land is going for silly money is that it's being bought as a way of avoiding paying capital gains tax on big payouts,. Such as when some IT company owner sells out for silly money and needs to sink the profits somewhere away from HMRC. No interest in farming whatsoever, just a (legal) tax dodge.

  • Our Co Op has the bottles of Lloyd Grossman pasta sauce on offer at £1 each, they're the only ready made ones that we actually like and the bottle is just the right size for 2 portions. They also have linguini on offer for 85p for 500g.

Rainbow chard, PSB & sundry kale seeds have arrived. (Plus a few nasturtiums to cheer me up.) Now need to figure when to plant, other than when dug ground shows little green weeds peeking up.

I need to teach son portion control, as he's just settled down with an bowl of chicken having used an entire packet. The growing young male measures food by the simplest packet, gawd 'elp me.

Sounds like top bargain shopping MrsLW :)

I'm usually reluctant to buy cooking sauces as I think 'well I should make it myself shouldn't I', but with limited ability to stand/chop they seem like an increasingly good idea, not as if you can't customise them to your liking. Which brands or stores would people here recommend?

Our co-op is a Baltika now (as much due to the four nearby Aldis as anything else) and I got a great haul last night, monster jars of olives, peppers, salatka, garlic cloves, blueberries and gooseberries for under a tenner hurray. Also Tesco has pure butter ghee for £3.75, much cheaper than I've seen elsewhere.

:o I requested the paternal unit go to Liddly first thing last Saturday to get me their Floralys TP, the 9 pack pn offer for £1.49. He took notes of the exact product. I asked for 5 packs.

Spoke to him an hour ago and he told me they came in packs of 27. WTH?! Turns out, each 9-pack was plastic wrapped on the pallet with two others. So he got 5 x 27 rolls.

Oh lawdy lawdy, what have I done!:rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Oh 'eck panic in Grey towers . It's a shame you have a perfectly nice bed , you could have slept on your assets .

Did he pay full price or by some weird glitch get each plastic wrapped pack for the price of 9? Just imagining hordes of shoppers heading for the pallets .
