We have a breville one cup machine rather than a kettle, before the children came along my head was much more in prep land, we had a gas hob fitted as backup if there were power cuts, we have a kettle for the hob if need be in the camping cupboard. I do use a hand mixer for baking, I don't think I own a whisk anymore.
i’m also a big fan of my halogen cooker although I wish I’d spent a little more money and bought the one with the hinged lid. It makes lovely toast and beautiful crispy bacon.16 -
Is it just my husband who thinks the Breville One Cup is very loud? When I need tea I don't mind the roar...18

We used to have Breville one cup and we loved it but we have now treated our selves to a hot tap. It's the best thing we have ever bought, boiling water at the flick of a tap, would not be without it.15

I originally bought the one cup when DS1 was born as was fed up of boiling the kettle then never having time with the newborn to finish making the cup of coffee, It is noisy but in a reassuring way of ah my much needed coffee is ready. I haven't solved the problem of finding the time to drink it whilst hot, the children seem to join forces. I am thinking of investing in a Klean Kanteen for myself for Christmas apparently coffee stays hot for 24 hours in it.15
