No the flu jab contents varies every year, depending on what flu strains are active. From what I have found so far on the 'net:For those aged 65 and over—the adjuvanted trivalent influenza vaccine (aTIV) (with the cell-based quadrivalent influenza vaccine (QIVc) offered if aTIV is unavailable).For under-65s at risk, including pregnant women, offer QIVc or, as an alternative, the egg-grown quadrivalent influenza vaccine (QIVe).2019/2020 season (last year):
an A/Brisbane/02/2018 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus;
an A/Kansas/14/2017 (H3N2)-like virus;
a B/Colorado/06/2017-like virus (B/Victoria/2/87 lineage); and
a B/Phuket/3073/2013-like virus (B/Yamagata/16/88 lineage).2020/2021 season:
The egg-based vaccine will include the following virus types this year:
An A/Guangdong-Maonan/SWL1536/2019 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus
An A/Hong Kong/2671/2019 (H3N2)-like virus
A B/Washington/02/2019 (B/Victoria lineage)-like virusThe cell-based jab will use the following virus types:
An A/Hawaii/70/2019 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus
An A/Hong Kong/45/2019 (H3N2)-like virus
A B/Washington/02/2019 (B/Victoria lineage)-like virusSo you can see, very different strains used from one year to the next. HTH!

As preppers we need to be sorting stuff out now, so that we don't need to venture out much when flu is around. What have you all stocked up on and is there anything already disappearing off the shelves?

Both my sisters live in Kent, near to London, and both had issues with the grocery deliveries yesterday. Both arrived late (after 10pm late), and had a fair few substitutions again. The delivery guy told one of them that it was a nightmare back at base. Lots of the pickers and drivers were off, either sick or isolating.
So all this to say get those stocks up sooner rather than later. Even if supermarkets have their supply chain sorted, it can all be easily scuppered by a sick or isolating work force.February wins: Theatre tickets15 -

It's the basic range that seems to be going missing when I'm looking to do an on-line order, the more expensive stuff seems to be OK, but my substitution this week was pasta, ordered a 1 kilo bag at 39p and it was replaced with 2 500g bags at 15p each.....which can't be found on my shops ordering site when I log in but is on the site when I don't log in, so figure that out.£71.93/ £180.0015

Mar - I've upped my stocks of rice, pasta, dried milk, yeast and flour. A 10kg bag of flour fits perfectly into our camping cool box. Kept the flour in the freezer for a few days first. I won't say the "C" word as we're not past Bonfire night yet, but that's emptied a shelf in our big freezer so have ordered a small turkey crown and all the bits to go with it which can be frozen as well. Usually buy all fresh but hey ho. We'll be scuppered if there are any long power cuts!Not dim

I'll be the same Doveling, just bought a second freezer. We don't get as many powercuts as we used to, so fingers crossed for this winter. I just felt twitchy without some good meat. And I can always use a drawer for flour too.

Another thought I had was if you're only allowed to order a certain number of items again on deliveries, make sure you're already topped up with cleaning stuff etc. I really struggled last time but then there four of us in the house to feed.Not dim

Im asking about flour/weevils/freezing can you keep your flour in the freezer all the time or do you freeze for a certain time then defrost and put in to sealed containers out of original packaging or or loose?
Can you freeze eggs?
Also have you noticed that the UHT milk available seems to have less use by dates and some of mine is in some right inferior packaging it usually survives the bumpy delivery driver bit some have burst and thankfully replaced,
Great idea on doing some pre C Word shopping cranberry sauce and bread sauce and stuffing and turkey crown going on my list and c pudding its going to be a pre prepared C dinner this year methinks.
