I've always kept a good supply in the basement. It all goes back to when my sons were young. It was a battle to get the snowsuits on, the car started, drive to the shops, unload the boys and repeat the performance when it's -40C. I learnt my lesson quickly and always have at least a ten day supply of canned goods down there. There's always flour, cake mixes, yeast, sugar, tea, coffee.
The joke in the family is my sons don't go grocery shopping in February (we usually go to Spain to get away from the cold). They come home and rotate my canned goods and take away anything that has less than a nine month life on the use before date. That way, I start to replenish when we get home.
This coming year, they may have to shop elsewhere because it doesn't look like we will be able to travel Plus, I managed to find a lot of canned goods with a 2023 date!

Err! can I have your share?
Have been to a FarmeFoodius this morning and got their loo roll, 4 x packs of 18 rolls each, for £10. Did a mixed shop, me and the wider family, and was able to deploy a £5 off £50 spent voucher. Every little helps.
My FF has those dinky little Dole tins of peaches and of pears, 19p each and perfect for a singleton. And their chocolate is very keenly priced..... 🤩Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I am also on hand to help 'dispose' of any unwanted chocolateFlu jab done. Pharmacist was lovely and we had a little chat. She said that locally, they all had meetings with GP surgeries etc to discuss the best way to get as many people vaccinated as possible, and that the GP's were worried that Lloyds, Boots et al would take too much of the stock vaccinating the 'worried well'. Wouldn't divulge much more though on what the agreed solution was. Just reiterated a few times that it is in everyone's best interests for as many people as possible to be vaccinated, especially this year, and that that is what they are working towards!February wins: Theatre tickets14

Pharmacies have to go by the same criteria as the GP's. They cannot give the over 65 flu vaccine to the under 65's whether they are willing to pay or not. There are 2 totally different vaccines.13

Just dropping in to say that parents and staff are both knowingly breaking all the new rules, regulations and laws around making the place Covid secure. Mainly to palm the sick children off on me. As closely as possible in the case of the staff - I come in from dealing with one to find another's been put in my office for me to come in and deal with.
I am not best pleased with this and will be chatting with the Big Boss about it tomorrow morning, as they're making it impossible for me to take the precautions I have to.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll17 -
You tell them, Jojo, they would soon whinge if Covid19 spread through their families and someone died from it.One life - your life - live it!15
