Nah, I think responses were quite mild considering what they could have been. Someone who constantly bemoans how the world doesn't fit to them and how dare it not is an annoyance anywhere.I wouldn't worry about Pollyanna. We're all wearing big girls pants these days [except for the blokes maybe, but even then...] so we can block, ignore, read and ignore or whatever.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi17

(((Pollyanna))) you're a valued forum member and I would be gutted if a certain person caused you to depart our company.

I wouldn't want anyone to leave. there've been loads of spats on this thread over the years - we generally get through it and there is always the 'ignore' button. Far too nosey myself to use it, but it is there...
Anyways - no one answered my question of ages ago, can i pickle my radishes (this is not a euphemism...).I wanna be in the room where it happens19 -
Pollyanna - I rarely post but have 'seen' you on a number of threads over the years and always found your comments to be appropriate and I value your postsSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle18

Pollyanna, I was going to PM you, but let everyone see! You are 100% correct in everything you said in your post today. In fact it was a masterly resume of the history of that particular person's behaviour on mse. I think those who object have probably not been around very long. You are too precious Pollyanna, for us to let you go.
I don't usually post on this thread, but sometimes the temptation to smash someone in the face overcomes me.

Pickled radishes? Now there's an intriguing idea! I went too early with my seeds & thought I'd lost the lot, so sowed another row in the same place. Needless to say they all came up together... so I now have two different kinds of radish, and lots of them, all ready at the same time & pushing each other out of the earth. (Just as well that OH & DD2 love them & eat them like sweeties - I struggle to wash them before they grab them!) I might try lacto-fermenting some tomorrow...
There'll be more beetroot & hopefully some golden courgettes too, this week...Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)12 -
You people made me so long for radishes that I ordered a packet of seed from t&m. The order arrived Friday, but they have sent butternut seed. I had a giggle to myself, I suppose the picture on the packet could be (very big) white radishes. As my other seedlings are doing really well this year, I thought I'd plant them and see how they go on, they cost to little it's not worth making a fuss. Was even more amused to find there were only six seeds in the packet, I mean, there are dozens inside a butternut, it is just very difficult to get to a shop at present. I think there's a lesson for me there :-)
I have a special chard plant that I'm leaving to grow tall for it's seed. It has plenty of green flower heads at present, so hoping to recoup my losses there. And my tomato plants have come from some really sweet ones I was given last year.13 -
Someone was looking for washing-up gloves (sorry I can't remember who!). I found some in a branch of M & S Simply Food, of all places! They only had Medium size though.13

Our Aldi had loads of rubber gloves all sizes13
