The green stripe was only on the rind, GQ. We had several of them, 7 or 8, on 3 plants & they all came out the same. Very nice too! Hoping for something edible from the Sons-of-a-Turk's-Turban too; I've just en-souped some more of the parent - frozen in portions after roasting - and it really was delicious.
Is anyone else a little perplexed by the Health Secretary's use of statistics today? I'll swear he said that quarantine is statistically most useful when the numbers are low; that stands to reason, but surely it'd be better applied when the numbers are low before the main outbreak, not afterwards? Or am I just being dense? Wouldn't be the first time!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)13 -
No you are not being dense. We can't understand it either.12

The man's an utter moron, you'd get more sense out of the average pre-schooler. The idiocy of putting 66 million people on lockdown while allowing about 15K folk to fly into the country from corona-stricken countries every.single.day for week after week after week. It's enough to make a cat laugh.
Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

I am going to the dentist tomorrow. Mr. Coleman is right. I have one of the early appointments because I've had an abcess. The dentist has done telephone triage and 5 should get another questionnaire today. They already know that I've got Hay fever. I have to arrive masked, ring and will be fetched from the car. I will have my temperature taken, then have to wash hands, I can't tell what the dentist will do but suspect that I may have to lose the tooth. Before any treatment, I will have to use a special mouthwash, wear goggles and a bib. After treatment I have to use hand sanitiser and go home and pay remotely. I am dreading it but have been in rather a lot of pain so heigh ho.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back19
