We have all been living a life, in varying degrees of severity, akin to the message of 'stay at home, save lives.' I can only speak for myself but it's a strategy that, psychologically at least, has possibly saved my life. Having placed so much value psychologically in that strategy, I have now adapted to that strategy and it is the only thing I have. It's now been proven as the safest way to live, psychologically of course.
Speaking about my own self development, or lack thereof, at this time I share that I am afraid of relaxing into society again because I haven't yet got anything else in my armoury. Everything is still based on modelling, theories are coming up that the decisions based on that modelling may have been erroneous, treatment options are still in the testing phases, vaccines may not be found and antibodies may only last 6 months.
Those of us who fear for our lives should we contract this virus fear the loosening of restrictions because we have no strategy to use to help us feel safe. Essentially we're being asked to move on when we're still mightily afraid and can't hold on to anything to lessen that fear. Psychologically I'm still at the start of the pandemic and my emotions are now hanging on to the fact that I stayed at home and I lived!
I hope I've gone some way to give some understanding into the mindset of what might make someone resist moving out of the safety of their own home at this time.

I'm not leaving, not over hard words anyway. I do believe in what I write, I also believe in others having the right to their own views. NO ONE has to believe mine and life is too short to argue about it. I wish all of you who find me irksome would put me on ignore it would make life easier for all of you.6

I don’t find you irksome ,but I do defend the right to disagree with and question your opinions.

Totally agree, your right to your own opinions and not to agree with mine is absolutely how it must be.9

If I am reading herlig's post correctly, the bullying relates to another (private?) forum, which presumably is why we can't see it. I, for one, am uncomfortable with seeing other posters named as bullies without any evidence with which to make up my own mind.11 -

People call Mrs LW by her name because she has often said she prefers that.. It's not intended to be goady.
Herlig Thank you for your very good post, which explains very clearly indeed why you don't feel safe going out. But we can't all just stay indoors forever. What if there is never an effective vaccine? OH and I are classed as vulnerable, but we can't get supermarket delivery slots so we go to the local shops, which all have social distancing measures in place. Your own mental health is evidently being helped by staying in, but ours is much better for a small outing and some fresh air, and speaking to other people at a distance, so we have to balance the risk.
We have been to a supermarket* once and I was very nervous about it, but it was fine after all.
Edit: *I mean a "big" supermarket - I don't count our little Co-Op.14
