Just popped up to the village and the Sainsburys there had plenty of loo paper but it looked as if people had been panic buying gin and tonic, the mixer shelf was pretty bare. Is there still a problem with production of CO2?It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!8

Just been back to Mr S and managed to get the bits of shopping I couldn't find yesterday, I did have a look and they had a good supply of loo rolls but still no hand gel
I did notice on my travels that people are also bulk buying hand wash,I hope they realise this isn't the same as hand gel so is no good for if you are out and about, they also need to make sure the hand gel they have bought actually has alcohol in it,I have one here for sensitive skin and was going to take it out with me but it's got no alcohol in it so I would be better off using a sink and washing my handsOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8949 -

My aim is to have enough for one month hunkering down when this ramps up. Even now I'm minimising going out - I'm on immune supressants.
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?11 -
Bloody hell,I just went onto fleabay to look at Purell hand gel, there was previously an offer for 24 mini bottles for £17.99 this has now ended, further down the page someone has bid £120 for the same thing 🙀🙀🙀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,736 Owed = £10,8949

Two hours later, however, a neighbour prevailed upon me to get her a few bits and bobs from Waitrose if I was passing it, which is what I normally do because all the bullsh1t with which they bombard the chattering classes offends my sensibility (who comes up with nonsense like "You can taste when eggs come from happy hens" on a big window poster, and why are they not stoned to death for their pains?). Sorry, where was I ... oh yes ... not a bogroll to be had in Waitrose, nor even a pack of kitchen towel! Don't know about hand "sanitiser" as in my haste to get out of the place I didn't look ...

If buying hand sanitising gel, you need to read the label- it needs to contain 60% alcohol to be effective.
Thinking about toilet roll panic buying, it really is no big deal if you run out of toilet roll. If the worst happened, the shops were empty and the last roll was used up, you would find an alternative way to clean yourself after defecating. One solution is washcloths, which can be washed in the washing machine. Another solution is go to the toilet then jump into the shower to hose down your nether regions. In some countries eg India, Thailand, people use a hosepipe attached to the wall by the toilet. I would imagine people in some parts of the world find the idea of using dry tissue paper to be a bit gross. One life - your life - live it!8 -
