Whatever, on the NIdo front how about £6.99 for the 900g tin + £1.99 delivery at theasiancookshop.co.uk or free delivery if you spend £40? You could always stock up seeing as how it's still good at least a year past its BBE.
PS Ref blackberries, having got up at sparrowfart today and picked just over 7lb in an hour and a half, the Lady Wife has now gone out again on her bike to get yet more while I'm stuck here moping about the place on crutches ,,,We're all doomed9 -
Well, I've just been on a ramble and blackberry picking with the DD and MIL. Picked 2.148kg between us (just shy of 5lbs). Found some damsons on way back, so got 1lb of them. And then came across a house that had left a box of plums and another of pears out, with a sign saying free, please take. So we took a few and left more for others. A bountiful walk.

We got 2lbs 10oz of blackberries this afternoon . I'll freeze some and add the rest to some apples I got the other day. Somebody had left a box on their doorstep with a free , help yourselves sign so I took a few. We went for a walk in the fields between here and the sea earlier in the week . There were loads of green blackberries so we'll head over there in a couple of weeks. There were some apple trees too.9

I wish we had places like that in my area where there was surplus fruit but I don't think many places around here even have fruit trees. I know down by my sister does though so I'm hoping I might see a few when I go down to see her on Wednesday.
I do know of a couple of apple trees though but I havent seen them in a while so I think they may have been chopped down.
I will be going out blackberry picking in a bit. I took the small tub out yesterday to see if many were ripe already and filled it quickly so I will nip back out again today to do some more picking.

Oh my gosh @Si_Clist ! That sounds incredibly painful! I hope the pain has started to ease at least!
And don't worry, I could fill pages on here with embarrassing accidents I've had! Happens to us all. Though not as painful as yours sounds. Ouch.February wins: Theatre tickets7 -
Had to look it up, but it sounds very painful @Si_Clist
Well done on all the blackberry picking though. You'll have plenty to keep you busy for a few days.Your missus will be laying the law down, no doubt, to keep you out of trouble!

I'm staying with mum as dad died this week, but I know the plum tree has a load of fruit on it & middleson at home in daylight but he says they're tart without doing a taste test... After ma-in-law's funeral (my black frock is getting the usage this year) I may well get a ladder & go try a bite & if they're nice, send youngest up ladder with a picking sack.
Meanwhile mum has an apple tree laden & blackberries thick with fruit & she's not minded to do anything so is being plied with blackberries on cereal, as a pud (youngest nearly tried making choc chip biscuits with blackberries but neshed it) etc.
Could you transcribe the high points of the appropriate "chat"? As my texts are clearly not getting the idea over...13 -
D for V - You've been through more than many of us could bear in the past couple of years. My condolences xNot dim
