The barcode will have been the standard Amazon returns barcode.

I'm not sure why you went to Halfords, what exactly did the seller say to you about the return?

Maybe halfords is a drop off point.

Could be wrong but was thinking when the OP refers to DBD they mean DPD.

Why? Amazon did not sell it and it's not going back to them.

Sound to me like the seller is trying to not pay for return. (Or maybe they do not have to, read the terms).
  • I had an email from seller asking me to print out label and barcode which I did. I was given instructions to put label on box and barcode inside and to drop parcel off at nearest DBD drop off shop. This was Halfords and this is where I took parcel. Since then it’s been emails backwards and forwards from seller and amazon. Nobody seems to know what I should do. Seller is foreign looking at emails.

If you have a return for an item from a company selling through Amazon rather than Amazon themselves there are different returns methods used - I've only returned two things from memory to sellers on there but both used different methods - One was a parcel drop off with a print off label and I think the other was via Royal Mail.
  • I had email from seller with link to label and barcode. Instructions from seller was to put barcode inside box and to drop off at nearest DBD drop off shop. This was Halfords. As I said before Halfords said the barcode was nothing to do with them and that as parcel wasn’t delivered by DBD they couldn’t take it back.

I have asked if I can post it via post office but they just replied they wouldn’t pay for it. Bit of an !!!! really considering that this is all down to misrepresentation on Amazon

Are you absolutely sure there is nothing else on the address label that you were told to print and affix to the parcel? What format is it? A PDF? More than one page?

Also how did you work out to drop the parcel at Halfords considering there is no such courier as DBD?

Who are DBD? (You've used that acronym repeatedly - you can't be making the same typo every the time, surely?)
  • Yeh sorry it is dpd.
    Label isn’t pre paid
Halfords is nearest drop off point
Amazon opened and then closed case against company saying I got what I ordered.
I most certainly didn’t get what I ordered.
Don’t know what else to do.

    Try another drop off point.
  • What is the item on Amazon, can you link to it?

I have a DPD business account and when I send a returns label for a customer it has to be prepaid, I don't have the option for anything else.

What part of the UK do you live in? Narrow it down to the first part of the post code......
