Amazon purchase

I have recently purchased a beautiful Xmas tree from Amazon. However, on arrival the beautiful tree was a horrible looking tinsel thing. I laughed so much. I contacted seller and they initially offered me discount to keep the tree but it’s awful so I declined. They said they’d refund me in full if I posted back to them. Problem is that after finding someone with a printer to print off label and bar code and then a trip to drop off point I was told that bar code is not readable and that they wouldn’t take it. Since then there has been numerous emails to company and to Amazon but to no avail. Opened a case with Amazon who have since said I have had what I ordered although their phone advisor agreed with me that item was awful. Very frustrating that no one can help me and I’m stuck with this bloody awful tree. What can I do ?

Find someone with a better printer to print the label properly?
  • It was printed perfectly. Drop off shop said that as they were not responsible for delivery then they couldn’t send it back

So who's was it then? Who gave you the barcode to print off? Have you asked them?
  • Yes. The bar code sent to me via email from seller. They are just not listening to me. I have tried numerous emails to them and Amazon but no real solution to the problem

What company was the label for?

Are you taking it to the right drop off point? As in its a Hermes label but you are taking it to Collect+
  • Yes. They gave me address to go to. Halfords. Halfords are saying that it wasn’t DBD who delivered it to me so they cannot return it.

It could be the seller is trying something dodgy to get a cheaper return.

I hope you actually opened a case on amazon or you might get nothing back.
  • I did open a case and sent them very clear photographs of item advertise and item I received. However, they closed case saying I got what I ordered! I’ve been the butt of many jokes over this because it is truly laughable what they sent me. I got call back from Amazon and guy laughed and agreed that tree is not what I ordered.
