    Congratulations Raphael.

Had a lovely sleep and a lovely bath. Reasonable (tasty but not healthy) meal using up the remaining breaded chicken, sweet potato fries and some of the chips. Will take the remaining chips and some tuna steaks to mum's for tea (+ some veg).

Food is mostly fine - the leg of lamb still has the 'snow' on the outside of the the foil wrap but still intend to use it up and start from scratch (or until someone leaves the door open or doesn't shut the drawers properly).

Freezer not quite ready, will clean and turn on again before I go out. Floor quite wet, towel I put down is soaked and the small drawer had 3" of defrosted liquid in it. Just pushed the 'waitin to be washed' clothes across to soak up the excess so no-one goes skidding across the kitchen (Bt, Dt, Got the T-shirt)

Going to try to do one big Icyland shop including Christmas stuff (will defrost and cook the turkey when I get it), stuff we need now and some meat to start the next batch of cooking (to see us through January). May take it out of my Christmas money for now and then divide between this month and next.

Made a donation to the Salvation Army last night.

Today I am grateful for wintery sunshine, for doing the freezer, for my left hand typing improving and for using up scraps from the freezer.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

I am on NSD 6 and am actually enjoying not spending money on stuff I don’t need/won’t bring joy to my life. I’m doing an overtime shift at work tonight which will cover the cost of my Family’s Christmas presents. This time last year I was unemployed and living in my overdraft so I’m very grateful that I now have a job, even if it is part time, so I can get my family gifts and not spend December worrying about money.

I did spend £1.30 on a Lindor advent calendar yesterday so am finding ways to be festive and frugal.
I’ve been putting my phone on silent and have started reading daily. I still need to actually start doing yoga again though as I need to exercise more.

Well done Raphael - quite often paying parents back falls to the bottom of the list.

Cycled in wind yesterday. Worked today but am home now with plans to put up our tree.

Payday for me today but have transferred most of it to the cc to pay for our chest freezer but that's OK, we needed more freezer space and now I don't dread going in the one in the kitchen as I can actually see things in it.

    Raphael - Congratulations.
Was a spend day. A tiny top up and some treats from my favourite shop.
Walked through park to gp to put in a repeat prescription, then onto a bus stop to another town centre, which was a 10 minute walk.
Trying to do self care, but feeling very low today.
Will spend some time doing easy household chores.
    Grateful for:
Not having to be rushing to get ready this morning.
    M@s.
For supportive people who I met this morning.

chocolatelover - hope your little one gets better soon.

Loz - it's lovely to hear about you having work and not needing your overdraft this year to pay for christmas.

Today I am grateful for catching up with an old friend, for free parking, for good coffee, for my lovely dh, for t1ger still having their long candles (so I bought 20 for £10 as gifts), for talking to lots of kiddies at my sch cmas fair, for making over £80 at said fair, for dd making £10.50 selling her syl fam clothing items, for finding a white company (?) fabric teddy in a ch shop that I can dissect and use as a pattern to make my own version, for headspace and general peace and quiet doing me good.

Sorry first part of this got cut. In brief no slothing, had to empty a cupboard that someone else is going to put back together tomorrow plus emptied another cupboard of photos and divided them to give to other people.

Looks like I will spend the money i have alloted for gifts. Told DS3 to buy sheets for the new bed from his grandma money but He got a tax demand this morning so it's been diverted. So I will be buying sheets and a teddy bear onesie and matching slippers for Beloved.

Very worried because her wish list included a slow cooker and several other gadgets plus a glass tea/coffee pot, matching cups and a couple of steins. Where on earth is it all going to go - obvious answer being the kitchen:eek::(:( crying smilie.

I had just worked out a plan to accomodate most of the existing gadgetry unobtrusively. May be time to put a big shed in the yard and have a simple kitchen in there (just for me). I've also asked for a food list from them.

One food order has just arrived. DS3 was taking whole crates of tins through to the kitchen. Did not look but suspect they have been dumped on the floor. He asked why we have so many butter beans - I like them and they were on a good offer price.

Today I am grateful for my love of simplicity, for making order out of chaos - even mum has been known to tell people that whilst I am not a great fan of housework, I can beat her hands down for tidying and organising stuff, for the sunshine before the hailstone and for a chat with my driver (now want to have a taxi take me to the crematorium, wait for me and bring me home again. only need to go in the hall of remembrance and round the corner to my aunt's grave). Tomorrow morning I'm going to sleep as long as I want to.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.
