rchddap1 wrote:Me like Pizza too....especially from my breadmaker. Other half has managed to find a way to make some garlic bread out of Pizza dough. He cuts a bit off, smashes up some garlic and smears it (with some button) on the extra bit of dough. Then simply rolls up the dough into a baguette type thing and sticks in the oven with the pizza.
Oooh that sounds nice. My cheap garlic bread is slices of bread, buttered, put garlic puree on the top and then place in the top of the oven. for some reason this always notifies OH that it is time to emerge from the home office with the words "oh is dinner ready". magic that ain't it? :rotfl:But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. I found a recipe for chocolate mint bars that I'm trying out now - better wait until I see how they turn out before I post the rec. though!
Think I'll make scones later on, too. Mmm, warm scones with jam and cream...

This is dreadful. I'm at work and all I can think about is baking. I just can'[t concentrate on typing! Cherry cake, fruit cake, bicscuits, maybe a lemon sponge - now see what you've done!!!! People will be getting free baking tips at the end of their letters! But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0

Well, wouldn't you know it? I finally get around to making these big, fat fairy cakes - that's big fat cakes not big fat fairies - and the carpet fitter turns up on the doorstep saying: "Mmm, something smells nice." So I say, "Would you like a nice hot cake with your coffee?", and he replies, "No, you're all right. Thanks. No, honestly I'm fine. Oh, all right then."
Last time I converted this 18-cake fairy cake recipe to muffin sized cakes I made 12 and 2 were quite small and, well, fairy like. So today I decided to just do 10 big fat ones, with extra fruit (well, it's luxury, rum-soaked fruit and needs to be gone by the end of this month). And now I only have 8 left. WAIL!! (Well, I had to test one, didn't I?!)
The bread is still baking, but it's looking (and smelling) good. Watch him turn up again just as the bread maker goes "PING".spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0
