My Slinky credentials are slipping. I've managed to put 4lbs on in about three weeks. Not good, because I can feel every single ounce of it it on my stomach and boobs. Yuk.

Hovel to Haven is progressing. I did some work in the cupboard under the front steps and even 10 minutes made a big difference. I can now move in there again, and the top of the tumble drier isn't covered in gibble. I think I'm going to spend 5 minutes on every room in the house today as my MAD. It works every single time and I keep forgetting how powerful a tool it is.

My office looks like a tip again, because it is. I've been dumping things in there to be sorted out but can't spend time upstairs without Kelpie getting very upset because he's on his own downstairs. I might let him keep me company for a couple of hours up there - he'd be thrilled and I'd be able to clear the decks in that time although it won't do his legs any good at all. Decisions decisions.

Other than that, the dishwasher's fixed and we now have Silent Running - fab film, one of my favourites even though I'm not mad about Bruce Dern.
    Better is good enough.

Wearing size 10 jeans for the first time this century!! 4stone 4.5 shed so far. I am now a 'healthy BMI'.. I will be staying with it and hopefully getting rid of at least another 18lb.. I am saving for the tummy tuck after christmas.. so, we shall see when that is a possibility.. I'm hoping for easter time but looking more like this time next year!

All three beans off school today.. one has been sick and they all have raging snots and high temps.. not worth taking them to school when they are all droopy and feeling rubbish.. so they are all in bed with ipads!

I've only just realised I haven't posted this week as yet. I do apologise; it had been MANIC here.

I had a meet'n'greet on Sunady which of course left me very shaky and frazzled, however, it has resulted in a booking over New Year.:j

I have to try to get back to driving - there's a chance that Mr Wolf's PD may get to a point where he has to give up driving; so that's another source of shaky nerves and general frazzled-ness.

Mr Wolf had his PD physio assessment yesterday; which meant driving down to Bletchley Community Hospital, decanting him, bringing the car home, then picking him up again when he was done. S-C-A-R-Y.

Anyways, he got on well; they're going to put him into some sort of exercise class in the New Year, which will mean doing the scary Bletchley run for however many weeks that goes on for.

I still haven't sorted out my Yule cards properly - and I had my first one in the post during the week! :D I need to get on top of this - and a few hundred other tasks.

I did finish making a birthday card for Mr Wolf's cousin yesterday - it needs posted tomorrow! But I still have to do his birthday card (b'day 5th Dec) and I'm fresh out of ideas for what to do.

I have an entire pond full of Frogs awaiting my attention, too.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Really busy day here with an early start. I'm frazzled but still have to get ready for another early start tomorrow and a long day. Nothing done in the house at all today. :( I guess I'll be back Monday when I will get some time for HW.

    hello

Tracking my Dailies in my bullet journal this week has been a moderate success: I've made the bed, fed the birds and put out the recycling every day; on two days I put out the rubbish; yesterday I did WM x1; and on two days I washed a bowl of pots. So not exactly daily Dailies but more than I usually do during a working week.

I also called to see Dad after work on two evenings; picked up my repeat prescription; and wrote out a Christmas 'plan' - so after work today I posted the card to my friend in Belgium, bought stamps and my 'special' cards and posted a package to you Natty :D

Tonight I'm going to do an online shop for Christmas delivery. Advent calendars have been purchased ready for tomorrow for DS and GF. Tomorrow I'm going to 'do' the bulk of my Christmas presents shopping - smellies and chocolates for everyone. Use them, eat them, who could ask for more? :D

Waiting to see what time DS and GF want taking in to town tomorrow - they're taking the train to Meadowhell - then I can plan my day. Not forgetting coffee with Lorna at 2pm at the posh farm shop - I might even treat myself to cake :D

    And breathe ….

Hoping a few more bits will go in the next few weeks we are utterly destitute this month having spent the better part of £400 covering my mothers christmas presents!! As she gives me it back I do need to pay it off various accounts..

I'm hoping the smalls feel better tomorrow.. they have been like limp lettuce all day!

Not sure about swimming tomorrow for them.. we shall see.

Well behind, as always. 7 hours decluttered at the big horsepiddle / journey to and from there yesterday. Everything fine. After 5 years, we are starting to breathe again. Very gently.

Today has been busy. A full day at work. A DD with an irritated eye, but not a gunky infection. A DH with a brain cell or 2 missing.

Now I have a cuppa and a left over (aka completely out of date) cake. And the remote, as DH has gone out and DD is studying. Happy Friday.

Not the evening we'd planned. Plan A was Mr N painting and me writing a report. Cue loud crash and exclamation of "bu**er" as Mr N slipped off the ladder and hit his head on the wall. No major injuries but a large bruise, bump and blood so I took him to A&E where the words head injury got him seen fairly quickly. Glue and steri-strips later but not surprisingly his bp was up so they wanted him to wait and see another doc. 3hrs later we're both hungry and he was getting annoyed so no chance of bp going down. He decided to sign a consent form to leave after finding out we'd have had another 3hrs to wait.

Apart from that, it's been a productive day!

    creeping back in

    Hope Mr Narc0 is OK.
Glad your DD is fine, Fayolle.
5 minutes a room sounds a brilliant plan, HB :T
Well done pigpen :T - but please don't disappear completely!
Posivibes to LW for the driving, and I'm pleased to hear you've got a doggy booking for New Year :T

You are all achieving far more than I am atm! We have had a week of visits from and to family and friends, interspersed with birthday celebrations, which have all been great fun but have involved me in doing all the driving and most of the cooking / making up spare beds / etc., so that I feel that I need a proper holiday now, preferably somewhere warmer than here! Rosie enjoyed her stay at the kennels, as usual, but has had a day of crazy excitement at being home again today - she was so pleased to see us.

DH has been in fairly constant pain from his hip all week but was obstinately intending to go and work on the heritage railway Santa Specials tomorrow, despite his incapacity. However, he came home early from war games this evening saying that he thought he might be getting another chest infection - I hope not!!! - so he may not make it to the station tomorrow.

I have put two adverts on Gumtwig this evening, out of 7 that should have gone on at least a month ago - fingers crossed. Must write some cards tomorrow, and also collect my new specs.

    G'night all.
