    :j Hiya!

Got a free 5 mins from work while my tablet kicks in for my headache  (didn't drink last night)

So we've woken up to Winter here! Its foul/fowl........<< dunno :D
But its perishing and rainy and blowing a gale/gail.......that I do know ;)
It was a bit sleety but as I am in my warm office and not unloading a wagon (unlike all my colleagues) I'm ok jack! :rotfl:

    (S H U T T H E D O O R)

So we have chicken for tea.........my breasts are so large (:rotfl: ) they will do 2 meals:T
Just need inspiration again of how [STRIKE]its meant to turn out[/STRIKE]to cook it.

I didn't end up doing the hoovering (HJ  ;) ) yesterday as I have [STRIKE]slaves[/STRIKE] 2 useful boys that did it, 1 did the downstairs and 1 did the stairs :T so its the best time to visit chez panda :T although the bathroom needs [STRIKE]a bucket of bleach[/STRIKE] a flick!

Hi everyone. haven't been around much due to very hectic few months, but I hope everyone is well, and if you're not, that you feel better or brighter soon.

Has been the start of university term, so lots of new students to sort out. Just before that, both my BF and my Mum ended up in hospital (him- badly broken shoulder, her-brain haemorrhage:eek: ). After operations and recovery, both are on the mend :j . Though the BF has a very impressive manly scar on his upper arm.

on the good news, 3 of my friends have produced 4 babies in the last 2 months, and I just booked a holiday to Costa Rica for next June (oooh, get her :D). Oh, and I was in Boots healthy and beauty magazine in a feature on breast cancer  .

None of this is OS, but I promise I shall do lots of freezer filling this weekend. Am going to make lentil bolognaise, veggie lasagne, fish cakes, some mozzerella, tomato and sage muffins and possibly a fish pie. Going to start making some Christmas cards too.

take care my OS friends. I may not post much, but your recipes and hints have inspired me to do so much.

Afternoon all (it will be by the time I've finished typing)

Chilly here today - supposed to be having a day out with a friend for her birthday but got a call from school to go and pick up DD2 - complaining of tummy ache - she's now tucked up in my bed watching tv and munching on toast, I shall forget about the nice chinese I was going to have and go clean something or pack something......such is life as a mum eh!

Very excited about tomorrows move - friend is coming with a van at about 9am - we've only got sofas, our bed, fridge/freezer/WM/DW/TD to go in it so shouldn't take long at all, nearly everything else has been moved and the rest will go tonight after tea.

Had the parrot out earlier whilst I was cleaning out the fireplace, he was running up and down the length of the room rubbing his beak along the floor to make a funny noise - when he got to the end he'd copy DH's laugh, turn round and go again - kept him amused for ages - then he found one of the cats play balls with a bell in it and proceeded to chase it around - loopy thing......he'll have to come out again in a bit so I can scrub his cage prior to the move - I might just let him go play on the bed with DD - he loves trying to get under the duvet.

Anyway - less waffle - more action - will be offline for a few days now until everything is set at the new house so hope you don't miss me too much!

    Afternoon folks.

Not achieved a great deal today...what's new....although I have filled the DW and set it off...now it just needs to be emptied.
I have finally finished the scarf...posted a piccie on the knitting thread....just got the loose ends to weave in....Miss Twit loves it..good job as it's her Christmas pressie.

Managed to pick up a few bargains in my little local supermarket yesterday...bag of 10 bananas for 50p (got 2)....on the vine cherry tomatoes for 20p (got 4)...runner beans for 20p (got 4) ...2 pints milk 40p (got 2, it was full cream, so now diluted down and in the freezer)...large pizzas £1.50 (got 2).
Mum was with me and as all this is going through the till, she kept saying....'what will you do with that?' "freeze it was the answer".....whan the bananas went through.....'you can't freeze those' "ah, but yes I can"....at that she gave up and walked off.
I just wish I had been on my own, I would have bought more, but I can't cope with the tutting. :rotfl:

Enough waffle from me, off to Asda for some more bits and pieces, I want to make my Christmas cake tomorrow, so better get more supplies.

Hugs to those who are Ill, Cold, Generally Down in the Dumps and those poor people who are at work.

Aussie, when I read your post about going to the other island to sort out a house for xdil, I thought crikey she's parcelling them off to the other island, xdil must be really bad. But then I realised you were after somewhere a bit closer. Not easy having to share a house with relations you get on with, let alone under more awkward circumstances.

    Afternoon all

Just a quick post as I'm busy [strike]looking busy [/strike]working.

I can't remember the last time I posted on the daily. As you can probably gather from some of my other posts I've fallen off the wagon a bit and am trying to clamber back on.

DH is hopefully putting my kitchen back together at the moment. We've had some new linoleum put down this morning, so hopefully when I get home tonight the freezer and fridge (both huge things) will have moved from the middle of my living room floor... I only have a small living room, so it was quite snug last night. Meant DH couldn't see the TV though, so I got control of the remote. Result!

We've also got someone coming round today to measure up for the double glazing we're (hopefully) having fit on the 30th. £2000 for 4 large (-er than normal) windows and two small ones. Does that sound ok to you guys? We're paying via a HSBC loan rather than their finance deal.

On top of this we're waiting for a call from 'warm front' or 'stay warm' - one of those two - about getting loft insulation. We had cavity wall and central heating put in earlier in the year, so this winter we should be snug as a bug.

I think its Sausage Casserole for tea tonight. DH does the majority of the cooking as he's on incapacity and can't work. I suggested a slow cooker meal so he wouldn't have to mess about with it when we had workmen in. Really looking forward to it now.

Once I've finished [strike]surfing the net [/strike]recalculating the accounts in front of me I'll go home, help with the kitchen, and probably crack on with moving the spare room around. Had a major tidy in there last night (so the surveyor could get to measure the window) and now want to get it all finished and moved about properly. Wish me luck!

Congratulations/commiserations and hugs to all and sundry. I have read the thread but it would take too long to mention everyone.

It cold and miserable here as well. DD is has just thrown a massive tantrum because she couldnt get the dummy to stay in her dolls mouth. I'm looking for tea insperation, got mince out to make chilli but I really dont fancy that so I'm going to have a look through the cupboards and see if anything else takes my fancy.

    Have a good day everyone

PS Hope the move goes well Pooky

    Afternoon all,

Didn't get to post yesterday as had my oldest friend for lunch...which lasted from 11.30 until 8 pm, so little time for anything other than a quick read around 2 am!

    PenPine and Donnygal...good luck.

Hugs to all who are feeling sick, sore or tired.

Chicken stirfry with couscous and salad for dinner to-day, spare room bed linen in wm...must make some rolls too and blitz the ones I overcooked yesterday...stuffing or Cmas pudding breadcrumbs.

    Back later

Afternoon all, first time chatting here.

Got up this morning at 8am (I was awake at 4! ) and logged onto my PC to finish letters and enter competitions before I had a break for breakfast. Nipped to the shops to pay in a cheque from my local council (woo hoo) as well as do some shopping. I have become a real miser - I spent £12 in my local butcher but now have enough food to keep me stocked up for months - mince (for spag bol and freeze rest), braising steak for stew (will be frozen), 4 pork chops (now bagged in one's and in my freezer), a tray of chicken thighs (about 12 in all) now bagged in 3s and in the freezer, plus a tray of 6 minted new zealand lamb chops (frozen in one go).

Have found out that I have to go into hospital for eye surgery on my birthday of all days but it beats waiting until February - wonder if one of my consultants will serenade me with his saxophone? I am sure he will, if I ask nicely.

I have to send off an application for a job today and carry on with my housework - lots to do but no inclination.

Have fun for the rest of the day.

    Afternoon everyone.
What a flipping day im having!!!
Have got a banging headache have had it since i woke up, then at 11.30am heard a huge bang, thought someone had hit the car, ran to window and couldnt see anything, so 5 mins after than i went upstairs to put washing away and found my bedroom window all smashed!!!!!
Looks like a stone has been thrown at it or even a pelet gun fired at it as the hole is circular and small but has broke the outside pane and cracked badly!!!!
So i phoned council who told me they will charge me to replace it, so got on phone to police who gave me a crime number, then phoned back council and told them i had reported it to police they asked for my crime number and now say they will replace it next week!!
At least its only the one pane thats broke (double glazed), but cant see what hit it nothing outside on floor although its so flipping windy here it could blow bolders away!!

Right moan over ,sorry for that, other than that iv made 2 pizzas, listed some items on ebay and tidied up.
Hope you are all doing ok
