Delivery was a little slow compared to the place we bought our DIsney tickets from (ticketmania.com) but they arrived without problems. I used them on recommendation from other customers on the DVD Forum and certainly would pass that recommendation on.
Just bought mine before the deal ended. It says they will be delivered by recorded delivery 14 days after order...I won't be at home to sign in the day though!0 -
Hi, I am going to Orlando in a few weeks and won't be hiring a car. There will be 5 of us - me, OH, MIL (age 87) and DD (age 8) and DS (age 5).
We are staying on International Drive and have searched in vain for a shuttle service from that area to the Magic Kingdom (our hotel doesn't provide one). My OH phoned a couple of taxi companies last night and they want $85 for a round trip.
Any help on cheaper ways to get to MK would be appreciated
Thanks
Mamashaz
Hi, most hotels have free shuttles to Disney, if you ask at the reception of your neighbouring hotels they will give you a timetable for their shuttles too. Our hotel had 1 free shuttle to Disney's Magic Kingdom every day and 2 back, but the hotel opposite had 3 going every morning at different times, so we used their shuttle too. Disney and Universal shuttles did not take any names as you got on the bus, so no booking is needed and it doesn't matter if you are not staying at that hotel.
Alternatively, Lynx is the local bus and the Lynx number 50 goes to Disney from I-Ride stop 32 (the I-Ride is a bus that goes up and down International Drive and is free for under 12s, $1 for adults per trip or you can buy a 14 day ticket for 16 dollars that lets you use it as much as you want, and 25 cents for seniors). The Lynx bus is $1.75 per trip.

CL or anyone,
I presume it is fairly easy to get a cheap one way shuttle trip or similar from Sanford to I-Drive?0 -
we booked with travel city direct, to go this august, was staying in a hotel in the kissimee region, got a phone call today asking if we want to upgrade to a hotel on site, at the pop century resort, upgrade fee was £181 all in, so we snapped there hands off, whilst they was on the phone i made a booking enquiry online for the same dates we r going, and it works out we have saved over £1500, extra 4 hours a day on the parks :j  :TTake every day as it comes!!0

We flew into Orlando International, but the transfers seem to be quite expensive. Try calling Lynx buses on 001-407-841-2279, or their website is www.golynx.com. They have a service from Sanford, but you may have to make a connection. They are a public bus system that only costs a few dollars (We paid $1.75 per trip, or $4 for a day pass and transfers between routes are free, just ask the driver for a transfer ticket).0 -
CL - many thanks for that information. I will certainly ask at the neighbouring hotels for their service but if not the Lynx service sounds a good bet!0

Hi, we are shortly meeting my MIL (who lives in the States) in Orlando so our group will have an 87yr old, a 5yr old, and an 8yr old as well as me and DH.
We aren't planning to hire a car (thanks for advice so far about public transport) and have thought of the following places which are suitable for us to visit. We will have 5 days together.
Animal Kingdom
Magic Kingdom
Universal Studios
Seaworld
Gatorworld
I would appreciate it if some of you seasoned travellers to Orlando would cast your eye over the list and give me an opinion as to the suitability given the nature of our group.
Many thanks,
Mamashaz0 -
All those are great for all ages. However, one day at each will cost you a lot, and you will waste hours each day waiting for or on public transport. We were in Orlando for 2 weeks, and only did the Disney parks and Universal parks in that time. We also did Kennedy Space Center which was good, except it peed down all day. Maybe get a Disney pass and do MGM instead of Universal?illegitimi non carborundum0

I'm completely new to all this but I am hoping to book a holiday for 4 to Orlando Florida in October. What sort of prices would I be looking at regarding flights and where is the best place to find these flights?0
