    hi guys,

Right we are off on sun, so few last minute q's:

have not booked universal tickets, shall i do that before we go? is it too late? see when get there?

Am i really gonna buy lots of stuff so just take half a suitcase?

what shall we do on first day my itinery says ak, as we are staying akl any better suggestions?

AK is not a bad choice as the animals are more active first thing in the morning. Get there for park opening, chances are you will be awake early anyway, and you can do more in the first couple of hours than you will be able to the rest of the day. Also AK tends to close earlier (as a general rule) than the other parks.

If you get there early you can get most, if not all, of the park done by mid afternoon and then go back to relax by the pool ready for when the jet lag hits :rotfl:

Apart from the theme parks is there anything else in Orlando that's worth a visit?
One of the things we enjoyed most last time was the boggy creek airboat ride.

Will definately be doing that again this year.

Another question - any tips on dealing with jet lag as I can imagine that 5 hours time difference is a lot. 1 hour in Europe I can deal with.

The 5 hours going west is fine your body can cope with the longer day a bit easier but coming home is difficult, i've tried staying awake, sleeping, doing what my body tells me, and none are any better, it will take a week to adjust coming home and a few days out there to adjust.

Fri and Sat nights at Old Town Kissimmee are always good.

Me again - realistically with no kids under 12 can all of WDW (including Universal as well)be done in 7 to 10 nights?

I was going through a sample itenerary I made and it seems like it can... (though it will probably feel rushed)

Last time we went, we were there for 14 days.

We did Busch Gardens, Sea World, Boggy Creek and two water parks as well as Disney.
Definitely did two of them in one day (possibly twice) so went to Disney on about 10 days. From memory it was MK once, AK twice, MG three times and Epcot once.
Went back to MK one evening also.
We had two kids with us, so 10 days will be fine to do the lot without kids.
