  • Hi everyone, I have just booked, what I think, is a great deal for Florida 4Sept-18Sept. It a 4-5star hotel (depending on which site you look at) and we've managed to get it for £2869 for 4 adults. We're booked at Floridays Resort Orlando (international drive), its a condo with 2 bedrooms, 1 ensuite and 1 bathroom and jacuzzi bath! We upgraded the flights, rejected the car and bought airport transfers and it works out at £717 each. I thought it was a really decent deal!

    Found it on Cosmos :j

From what I have read online, a car is really a must in Florida.

Probably wrong though so who knows. I'm gonna hire a car for my June trip anyway.

We paid £2,200 for 4 people(£2,700 total with villa price) , detatched villa/house including flight & premium seats.

Bargain attractions and USrentacar are the same firm. I would certainly try to get Attractionticketsdirect .com to pricematch Bargain attractions. ATD very good aftersales usually some little bits in the parcel the tickets come with.
They matched our Seaworld tickets which were £8 cheaper elsewhere.
    Good luck.

Hmmmm reading the site [USrentacar] again they are stating the tickets are for 2007!! Really wants you to ring them. Hope its not just a ploy to sell you more expensive tickets.

Thanks for the advice, just booked with Attractionticketsdirect.com, who price matched American Attractions and saved myself £35.

Have tried trawling through this thread but cant find what I am looking for.

I think I remember seeing that there is a way of buying parking tickets at the Theme Parks for weeks rather than individual days to save money.

    Can anyone help??

First of all I just want to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread.

I read it from start to finish over a couple ofdays and put all of the advice to good use.

We have managed to book 14 days in Davenport, in a private villa and a hire car for around £2,200 for 2 adults and 2 teenagers.

We go at the end of April and I can't WAIT!!!!!

    Hi guys,

I'm looking for some help to find a cheap villa preferably in the Kissimmee area for our first visit to Florida. I've tried looking on the net but I'm just bamboozled by the number of websites out there and don't know where to start.

    Our requirements :-

    2 or 3 Bedroom Villa
    14 nights stay
    8th May - 22nd May (not flexible)
    Games room (if possible)
    Private pool
Budget < £800 for whole stay
    Flights not required.

If anyone can point me towards a suitable villa that would be great or perhaps a reputable website that I can search?

Also if I'm being unrealistic with the budget for the type of villa we're after it would be good to know
    Dklunan,

I would recommend the Dibb as a starting point but in my experience the villa's that interested me were around £500 p.w. although you may get smaller ones available.

We go on the 28th April and managed to get a 4 bedroom villa for £700 (without pool heat). That is the smaller of the 2 properties this person owns. Their larger one would cost around £800 for the fortnight but they are booked at that time (as far as I'm aware) so as long as you're a bit flexible budget wise I think you'll get something.

Also, we've looked at the NASA website and there is a take-off planned during your visit which would certainly be a memorable sight.

We found our villa through Daltons Weekly website.

As I've already said this is our first foreign holiday and we've managed to get it all sorted, so if we can, anyone can.

    HTH

    Hi

Am looking to get car hire in the states, having booked a flydrive with virgin to get the cheapest price, and decided not to pick up the car through virgin - only get a week and we want two, can anyone confirm what car hire company virgin use? Obviously don't want to book with the same company.

    Many thanks

  • Dont know if anyone can help:confused: We havent been to Florida for 3 years but want a rough price for End Nov-Dec for 3 weeks for 1 adult and 1x14year old (I think she will be an adult price) We always travel with Virgin Atlantic for flights and wouldnt rock the boat going with anyone else and we normally upgrade to Premium. We would like to stay in a villa (2 bed) with private pool and be near Walmart on one of the local estates.

Can anyone give me a guide price? I wont need insurance included as I need a special one because of illness. Dates can be flexible though, just looking for the cheapest! Will also need car hire from Dollar and be a 7 setaer minivan as I need to get a wheelchair in the back and the seats come out ok with them.

    Thanks in advance.

Do a travel supermarket search first, then
Try who have a price promise too.http://www.usrentacar.co.uk/

Dont worry who Virgin use, I think its dollar, but not sure. There are 3 747 flights in from the UK in an hour and a half so the halls are quite manic.
With usrentacar i like their free upgrades with Budget. A game to play is to hire the smallest car But you can hang back because they nearly always run out of small cars. And you get free upgrade. Beware they will try to upsell you at the carhire desk just be firm but polite. NO!
