    Hi
booked attraction tickets online with virgin 24th march, have had email confirmation, they took deposit, can get booking online with reference - however havnt had conf in the post, does the email count as the confirmation without a hard copy ?????
or are they going to contact me and tell me that they no longer sell the tickets ?? not sure what to do ??

I got seaworld tickets only on 4th MArch - You should get a confirmation letter - mine came about 2 weeks after I booked the tickets over the phone - email confirmation came within a day I think.
  • LittleMissBossy- Did you take a trip up to Riverside? We went to French Quarter for breakfast one day, to try the beignets as suggested on here (very nice) but agreed that we preferred Riverside as it was bigger, whereas FQ seemed a little claustrophobic?

    Hi JustWonderful

We did take a trip to Riverside we walked along the riverbank and also used the pleaseure boat which was really nice. The Riverside site was a lot bigger as you said but we did really enjoy FQ, after a long day in the parks it was good not to have too far to trek to our room. The food court was a bit if a bun fight though.

We travelled with First Choice but we did upgrade to Premium which cost us £180 each. I felt it was really worth the extra money as the seats were a lot wider, you could pause and rewind the movies and also we were lucky enough to get row A so no one in front of us gave us a little bit more room.

Did you go to Downtown Disney? we ate a Planet Hollywood, we really enjoyed that.

I have a feeling that to upgrade with Virgin it was something ridiculous like £400, but i may be wrong on that as i didnt book it- but i was so let down with Virgin.

Yeah i thought the food court was a bit small in FQ- In Riverside it was bigger but a lot busier at peak times, so you still had to queue and battle for seats.

In all the reviews it mentions how big Riverside was but i didnt think it would be that big- they did have a bus stop near us so that wasnt a problem, but the walk to refill your mug, or go to the concierge was about 10mins each way which got a bit tedious!

I also got a bit annoyed with the Buses grouping Port Orleans FQ and Riverside together at some of the parks, as it normally stopped at FQ, then the North Depot and then the South depot (our stop) so that added about an extra 5 mins- doesnt sound much but at the end of a long day, with a 2yr old in tow, it was just an extra nuisance!

Yeah we went to Downtown Disney a few times- I liked DisneyQuest a lot, being a 19yr old male! We ate at The Earl Of Sandwich and also had take away fish n chips from that Irish place on St. Patricks Day.
  • Thought I'd cracked it with Vista Cay, via what looks like a good website VRBO rentals, but 'her indoors' wants a villa. Can anyone help with decent villa accommodaion as close to Intl Dr as is possible in the region of £1200 for 18 days. Thoughts and advice would be appreciated

Has anyone seen a launch at the kennedy space centre?

If so, would you recommend a visit and does it cost anything?

    Hi,
Yes I've been to see a launch, it was free of charge.
Firstly, they are very weather dependent so check before you travel, we had 4 launches postponed.
Secondly, don't rely on any help from the staff, they just vaguely pointed us 'over there' when we asked where we could watch it.
Thirdly, make sure you're looking in the right direction, we were looking straight ahead from the grandstand in what we thought WAS the right direction, only for the thing to suddenly shoot up into the sky from our right. :rotfl:
    Was well worth it though.

Try http://www.lastminutevillas.net/ you put in what you want and the villa owners will email you - by return. You can also put in the amount you wish to spend. You should have no problem with the amount you wish to spend.

  • Hi All

The nightclubs are closed at Downtown Disney for refurb but everything else is open.

Just wanted to share this - it all helps

Just to flesh out this a bit the nightclubs are permanently closed and will not be re-opening. Disney have decided that the clubs are not in keeping with the family feel and are opening more shops, bars and restaurants instead. Info found here.

Is that the flexi ticket to be used at universal studios and sea world etc? If so how much was the flexi plus? (the one that includes busch gardens) ?

Does anybody know if there any additional ‘hidden’ insurance costs to pay when collecting a car that has been booked online over in Orlando?? I only require a small economical car, such as a small Chevrolet or something and have been quoted about £235 for 2-weeks car hire in November via the car hire section at alpharooms.com. But will this be the TOTAL price I have to pay or will I get stung for more cash when I collect the car?? Any ideas?

Yes, it's the one for Universal, Seaworld etc. I didn't ask about the Plus ticket.
