Hi Stressedofdevon (Just up the road from you in Exeter  )
Try here:

It sounds like you've been going to Disney.com rather than Disney.co.uk from what you say above. The Disney DVD is excellent :T
They usually take a week or two to arrive; if you get stuck drop me a PM with your address as I have a spare I could send on if needs be.0 -
Sorry! To answer your other question, the only place to check remaining park (or waterpark) days let is at WDW itself; any of the Guest Relations at the Themeparks or Downtown Disney. There's nowhere to do it closer. If you know someone going you could ask them to check for you (get Disney to write the days left on the back of the each ticket), but you will need to entrust them with your actual tickets.0

Got a quote for 3 Adults and 2 kids (1 chld 10 and charged as an adult) £704 travelling in July 08. I think this is gr8. Anyone beat this? It was through Keith Prowse.0

May I suggest you try:-http://www.usrentacar.co.uk/ Click on 'tickets' There prices seem excellent to me.
You could also then use Attraction Tickets Direct for the price promise. I have used these for years. Service is great!Or Themepark tickets are very similar
I always found Kieth Prowse to be expensive but then I have not used them for years!!Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0 -

What type of tickets? Magic Your Way? How many days and with or without park hopping & no expiration? Or is it a UK Length of Stay type pass (14 or 21 days unlimited access)?
It's hard to know whether it can be beaten or not as any and all of the above change the prices significantly.0 -
I agree with Col LB that early December is a great time to go (though the weather is a bit of a gamble then)! But the Christmas period is horribly busy. For a first time visitor it's not the right time to go IMO as it will be extremely crowded, very difficult to get on the rides and potentially frusrating waits to eat.
It's not so bad at Xmas if you've been before as you'll be more likely to be happy to be a bit chosey about which rides you do, but for a first time visitor I would avoid it like the plague!
I just got home from spending christmas in florida and had a great time! (got florida flu now though!) we went on 15th and came home on 30th. the first week was great in terms of no queues. went to nearly all the parks in first week(MK, EPCot,AK,both universal parks and Busch gdns) and longest queue was 20 mins. second week was spent at kennedy and sea world, but the disney parks were very very crowded. so i'd suggest the 2nd and 3rd week of dec being ideal0 -
Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but there are a LOT of pages to read through!
We are looking at going for Xmas 08 and staying on I drive. Our party is one pensioner, one middle aged woman and a 6 year old child. None of us have ever been before.
I always hear that you need a car in Florida but looking at what we wan't to do I can see it sititng in the car park for most of the time. The hotel has pools and a play area to keep him amuse, I drive has shops and stuff to keep me amused, Mum just goes along with what we do.
Shuttles are as follows
"The resort offers complimentary scheduled shuttle service to Universal Orlando, Sea World, and Wet 'n Wild Water Park. Walt Disney World Shuttles can be obtained for $2.00 per person round trip."
We won't want to be out late or anything as my son one is a real sleeper!
Would I be better saving my car hire charges for the odd taxi trip? The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -

car hire is not as expensive as you think, especially at that time of year, we always go the first couple of weeks in december. we got an suv for about £20 a day but you can get the more basic cars (there are no small cars at the rental places) for around £12 a day, i would reccomend one for the convenience of getting around, you can get from the airport and back and you can call out for groceries to walmart, go shopping at the malls the hassle of carting your shopping around on buses.
we did use the i-ride if we wanted to go for a meal and a drink ($1 each way) and used the hotel shuttle to save on car parking fees but if there is a full car going to disney, the saving is negligable.
having a car opens up so much more of orlando and the surrounding areas but if you havn't been there before, you could just stay around i-drive and still have a great time.
the i-ride shuttles serve wet'n'wild and seaworld to the entrance, universal is a 10 minute walk from the nearest stop and disney is 2 buses away (you switch at seaworld for a lynx bus to disney) if you don't want to be held to the times of the hotel shuttle.0 -
Do I book these as one way tickets, or is there away to book it as a two way flight?
It seems so much more expensive to book them as one way tickets, but I am not sure how to book arriving at one destination and leaving at another?0 -
Yes there is a way to do this, you certainly don't need to book two one way tickets, that will cost you nearly double!
When using the websites, either the airline's own, or the travel agents (expedia, ebookers, etc) there are usually three flight choices "return", "one-way" and "multi-city". Return and one way are self explanatory...
Multi City is what you need, this will let you enter combinations of departing and arrival airports and give you return tickets at much better prices. Often you will need to select a link to 'more flight options' or similar.0
