  • Has anyone been to Southern Dunes most off the cheaper villas are there but i dont want to go there if it is no good. I would rather spend a little more and go elsewhere.

For those going to DISCOVERY COVE, they have just changed their website. It now says, at least one of the party must make a dolphin experience booking.

However I have just booked the non-dolphin swim over the phone and although the usual upsell was done, I explained my party was not able to take the swim option this time. Booked with no problems.

Also got $50 off each. Just said that the $189 each was a bit too much to spend, and we got $50 off each with a bit of sweet talking.
These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!

I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!

I went with my wife 3 years ago on our Honeymoon and we took £2500 worth of spending money and the exchange rate was around 1.95 and we brought back £1200 and that included having a week on Miami South Beach.

We are going again in June for my Wife's 30th and taking our little girl who will be 2, I was thinking that around £1200 would be enough. We are stopping at the Marriott Fairfield Inn in lake buena vista so get free breakfast. Do you think £1200 is enough for eating out, petrol and buying a few clothes? We have already got Park tickets etc.

You will be fine with £1200 - We've done it before (family of four) on a budget of $100 a day and it was fine. We've also done it on a much bigger budget and both trips were great - just different!

Maybe my wording wasn't very clever, i've been to MK and know the set up. I should have told the full story. There are 9 of us going to Orlando, 1 family of 3 have been to MK last year therefor don't wat to go again but the problem lies with us only having a 12 seater van hired. So in essence what im asking is can the group going to MK be dropped off and the other party do their own thing.

OK, sorry, I didn't realise that's what you meant.

I know Disney_cjd's answered this already, but I would use the Contemporary as the drop off point rather than the official drop off which is I think at the TTC (??). That would save you catching the monorail / boat (unless you enjoy that bit and want to keep it, of course).

We love Southern Dunes. Villas are not so big and flashy as close to the 192, but its more like America. and there is a great deal to be said sitting around the pool watching people play golf.
Its quick to get to from Disney too! With very few blasted traffic lights, often quicker than traveling along the 192
Can certainly recommend Southern Dunes stayed there three times now.

Hi and not a problem at all

OK so I have been using them for about five years or so and never a problem. What you can do is enter where you are calling from i.e. the US and where you are calling too, i.e. the UK and it will list all the best calling cards to use.

To cut through that stage, just pick the Bizon card. The reason is there is no weekly fee or anything. You just load it up with ten bucks and you are away.

The non printing thing - i did not mean to worry any one. All that happens is that there is card, you just print it yourself. What you get is a toll (free phone number) and a an pin number.

So you call the toll free number which I think is 1 800 blah blah from any payphone be it in the hotel lobby or your room and then you enter your PIN. Once this has been entered it asks you to enter the number to call so you enter 011 44 1245 123456 etc. It will then tell you how long you can talk for so at 2c a min it will be a long long time.

When you have finished the call you can either hang up or press # three times and enter another number.

    Hi Mariae

No harm in starting now - although you are unlikly to be able to book yet unless its off brochure. IDrive is a good place for non drivers thats for sure. Also consider one of the Disney hotels even the value ones like Pop Century sometimes have comparable rates, although they will be more expensive then iDrive.
