  • hi - we have used Travel city direct for flights and packages before and liked them and found them to be very competitive

July/August will be VERY busy ...............

first time there you might be better with a "package deal" so that everything is sorted out for you

we are going in February and have got Virgin flights as I have paid using "miles plus money" which was a good deal

we liked it that much that we bought a time share (16 years ago!!!)

happy to pm you with other ideas/suggestions :)

you will have a wonderful time .............

the best website for this is the www.thedibb.com

we took all the grand children and the above site was excellent travel city direct were good, we flew into Sandford airport which gave us some practise on the american roads before we hit the main drags etc, plus the car hire place was just across the pavement edge from the arrivals lounge.
Sandford is not a big airport so no big shops but easy to return the car too etc. enjoy your time the kids will love it, YOU MAY EVEN ENJOY IT YOUR SElf:j

Definitely the best website for Disney advice. Go to their forums and in Trip Planning post a thread saying that you're new to the site and give them your holiday requirements and I'm sure they'll help. There is also a travel agent who is extremely well thought of on there (if I wasn't paying with Tesco vouchers I would book through her) her user name is cinder's mum, her real name is Val. I would suggest asking her to give you a quote before you book anywhere else.

Have you thought about going another time of year? When i was a teenager my parents took us twice, both times in the october holidays from school, was nowhere near as busy as summer holiday time, and the weather was still fab!! July/Aug is the rainy season. Plus if you manage to be there for halloween its amazing!! HTH:j PS I LOVE DISNEYLAND you have to do it at least once in your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have always gone around the first 2 weeks of Sept just after labour day and its soooo quiet I love it. But I'm teaching now so I have no choice but to go school hols, I am booking shortly for Aug 08 and it will cost £3500, last year we Sept and it cost £1700 for the same holiday, if it wasn't for Tesco clubcard I wouldn't be going.

It is but we were then a few years back when Floyd hit and Disneyworld/Orlando is inland so you don't usually get the full force. I would still go Sept every year, the rides are pretty much walk on.

Previous comment is correct regarding the likley effect of hurricane but the other is correct to be wary. Friends were in Orlando last year (maybe year before) and on one occassions DID have to take hurricane precautions
