I've been three times and used these every time with no problems,
http://www.uscarhire.co.uk/ .i used the gold option with Dollar Car Rental as this included a full tank of fuel. the prices include all the insurances you will need. this is just my personal experience though, and i'm sure other people will reccomend other companies.

they are as good as any other one.

Seaworld = Waste of a day.

    Universal 2 days.

    Disney 1 day per park.

    Disneywaterparks - 365 days :D

We LOVE Seaworld, but thought Universal Studios was rubbish, we needed two days each for MK and EPCOT and one for Hollywood Studios, but thought Animal Kingdom was a wasted day.

Everyone has different likes and dislikes.

Thanks for your help, do you have any recommendations for car hire? I just assumed that we would have to pay an additional charge for collecting and dropping the car at different areas.

I'm not spending the whole time at Disney which is why I need the car for the post Disney part of my hols.

The last 3/4 times we have been we booked with http://www.usrentacar.co.uk/ they also have a price promise so if you find it cheaper elsewhere make them match it.
We have always found these helpful and quick!!! Usually they have free upgrade with Budget renta cars. They also sometimes have good prices on theme park tickets! Once again with a price promise.

As has been previously mentioned, we all have different tastes. Personally, I thought Seaworld was great and last time we were in Orlando we went there twice. Going to Orlando next Aug/Sept and will definitely be visiting Seaworld - there is a new ride scheduled for Summer 2009 called Manta which looks pretty good.

I didn't rate the Magic Kingdom, but probably because I've been to Disneyland both in Paris and Anaheim so it was a bit like watching a mediocre film over again.:p

MGM Studios is worth a visit purely for the Tower of Terror and Rock'n'RollerCoaster:D

Each park has its own appeal and only you and yours can decide whether the visit was worth it after you have been!

Busch Gardens is always a winner;)

I've used www.usrentacar.co.uk on a number of occasions, both in Florida and Nevada, and they always seem to have the best prices whenever I've looked.

    286 days to go!:D :D

I am trying to locate a 4/5 bedroom villa on the Emerald Island resort.

Can anyone recommend some reputable websites or travel companies to book through please?

Try on www.thedibb.co.uk it a very informative forum and there are villas to hire on there.

You can try the dibb or try https://www.top-forums.com or even try a search on emerald island. Someone I know has a lovely house there called Simba's pride. Search on that in google :)

If you can wait until you get there you can try the local publix supermarkets. Or even if you have AA membership they do great offers via the US equiv, AAA

My prob with seaworld is a) its overpriced, b) the drinks and grub or expensive and c) you do not always get in to all the shows if its busy.

    Hiya All

I am thinking about going to Disney for my DD's 7th Birthday in January (hoping for a last minute bargin!!!). There is only one big issue, namely that I am petrified of flying. I can force myself to fly about 4 hours, but the thought of flying longer than that sends me into a cold sweat. I've heard that in January turbulance is really bad and is the worst time to go....can anyone give any insight if this is right?? I really want to go before my DD looses the Princess magic (she is waining a bit now!!) Any help or info would be really appreciated!! (By the way it cost x5 more to go to Paris, and it is a lot colder - I have thought about it!!!)

    Hi Vicks

I am not the biggest fan of flying either but I have to do lots of it.

the thing for me was doing one of the fear of flying courses which were great, For instance, did you know that in the cockpit there are two of nearly everything. So two radars etc, and they are made by different people so if there is a bug in one, there is not there in the other.

other things like the pilots never eat the same food

or a plane can fly fine on one engine

or they never used to be more than an hour from any landing place?

Think of how many flights there are a day all over the world. Not just orlando. Many thousands and they are all fine.
