I have to admit we swapped ours around deliberately to check the scanner, not a word was said and we were just waved through. But our tickets were no expiry!
But I would not chance it, and certainly I would never buy tickets from EBay.
Its a long way to go to spend half the day explaining yourself---and then paying again!
Time in Florida, is the most expensive commodity!!!

If you are looking for 2009 the cheapest currently available are from Disney 14 days for the price of 7 adults/over 9s £169 and under 9s £149.
On the web http://wdtc.disneyinternational.com/Special-Offers.asp?ID=6 or from Disney shops.

Go to ticketmaster.com ( usa ) and type in Universal orlando
Then click on 2 day 2 park pass . Enter in password box " explore "
Then you can buy the tickets for just under $80 each

Best way to get them delivered is the " print at home " option . This costs an extra $1.75 per booking

Ticket works out just under £45 our money , instead of around £62 from ticket sellers on the internet

Post how you got on please

I have followed these instructions but haven't gone through with the booking yet as I am a little concerned whether the tickets will be valid. The password part says 'Universal Orlando Corporate SuperGroup Offer
Please enter the password that was provided to you by Universal Orlando to take advantage of this offer.' As I haven't actually been issued with this code myself I am afraid the tickets will be invalid. Also all faqs on the site relate to orders made in the USA or Canada. I e-mailed the site and was told that I would have to order via International Will Call Delivery option but this was only available for tickets required more than 10 days in advance - no good to me as we go on Tuesday. I would love to hear from any other moneysavers that may have used this site and process.

I will have another look at this tomorrow as being able to do it this way makes a tidy saving although I am still waiting for a reply from the Virgin rep e-mail address I found in an earlier thread.
  • Hiya All

I am thinking about going to Disney for my DD's 7th Birthday in January (hoping for a last minute bargin!!!). There is only one big issue, namely that I am petrified of flying. I can force myself to fly about 4 hours, but the thought of flying longer than that sends me into a cold sweat. I've heard that in January turbulance is really bad and is the worst time to go....can anyone give any insight if this is right?? I really want to go before my DD looses the Princess magic (she is waining a bit now!!) Any help or info would be really appreciated!! (By the way it cost x5 more to go to Paris, and it is a lot colder - I have thought about it!!!)

honestly, dont think about it, if you can fly with a good airline ie virgin they will look after you, youll enjoy the flight, theres plenty to keep the kids happy, which will help you. dont think about how long it takes to get there, just think about the fun youll have when you get there, and what great memories youll have with your daughter.when your flying it doesnt seem that long. you could see a doctor, and maybe get some anxiety tablets just to help you relax about it. What a great age to take your dd, shell love it, and so will you, and will probably still be in the seasonnal holiday christmas mode in dosney world.
yep paris is going to be very cold, and as expensive if not more to go to, i would only go there in the middle of summer, last year we went in november, had a lovely time but it was freezing, everything was wrapped up (plants, and the characters, even had the coats on), went for 3 days and could ahve gone for wekk in usa for same money and would have been warmer! but im a disney nut and wanted to see a disney christmas, last minute!.
have fun, do it, this may be a good reason to go and cure the phobia!
  • Check if your local airport does a "fear of flying" day and I'd ask the professionals about what kind of flying weather you might expect rather than friends! I'd also make sure you tell the cabin crew that your a nervous flyer and they'll keep an eye on you.

It depends on who you fly with what sort of entertainment will be available to you on the flight, if its not great then take a personal dvd player with your own favourite films and/or a Nintendo DS along with mags and books. Comfortable clothes, think track suit type bottoms rather than jeans and make sure you are wearing roomy shoes. A neck type cushion helps if you fall asleep as there is nothing worse than a crick in the neck.
