so howe do these tickets work then if they scan your fingerprint  do i have to order them way in advance, or is your fingerprint just a quick thing they do when you first use them?0

Just got back home. Everything up to usual standard.
However if anyone is thinking of trying Cypress Gardens I'd give it a miss. The gardens are pretty poor to say the least although the botanical bit is alright. The zoo is close to a disgrace (doubt it would be allowed to be open in the UK - animal rights folks would have a field day) The whole place looks run down, tired, in need of painting, cleaning etc. Lots of bits "closed for refurbishment" - but nothing happening - just closed. Staff looked fed up and mostly very elderly compared to Disney's young vibrant happy people.
Very disappointing visit - you can sign up for a second day for the price of 1 when you enter but I doubt if anyone would go back. The rides were pretty tame but we didn't try the roller coasters as they looked a bit iffy with their flakey wood construction. I was just a bit afraid their maintenance might not be up to scratch.0 -

Yes you get scanned when you first use them and rechecked each day0 -
So this would make 2nd hand tickets or letting a family member use a ticket for a day a no-no? Has anyone been caught trying this?
There is no way you would be able to do it, they scan your fingerprint, so would know immediately if you had passed on your ticketYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

I'd say it's a no no, but don't ask me how ticket agents can sell part unused tickets, unless they are permitted to somehow remagnetise them??
It might be worth a try and you could always say, "I must have picked up another family member's ticket" but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't get away with it. The finger scan is is not a "kid on", because sometimes it doesn't work if your finger is not held flat for long enough. Try it if you like but they might have questions - like when did you buy it, where from? etc. There's nothing that hasn't been tried before - that's why they invest in the scanning machines - they aren't daft you know, and know how to make money - it's pretty good value anyway!0 -
Definitely agree - if your finger print doesn't match, they won't let you in!! By the end of our holiday, our 21 day ultimates were getting quite tatty, and took about 15 attempts each to go through the machine, but they still persevere until the machine says it's okay!!!0

As the tickets have magenetic strips on them make sure the strips are not touching each other in your wallet because this can 'cancel' them out and stop them working.
It happened to one of our park tickets and also our room key which had to be reset.0 -
I find the Disney ticket machines to be very temperemental, there have been numerous times it hadnt recognised my finger and after several attempts they just let me in regardless. Especially if you go first thing when the queues are long.0

The fingure print scan is for show only, my anual pass never works and they just wave you through. It is all to make the Americans feel safe after 9/11 similar to removing and x-raying your shoes WHEN YOU ARRIVE at Orlando! Just think what the point is, if you were carrying banned "substances" in your shoes surely your target would be while you are flying NOT the airport after you landed? But it makes people feel safe just like your prints at WDW.C. (Ex-Pat Brit)
