  • Good morning all,

Just catching up with all the recent posts, first week back in work after two weeks in Orlando, special thanks to Tropical Storm Fay for paying us a visit during the first week.

Regarding the location of villas to Disney, It took us 20 minutes to get from the car park at MK to the villa which was located at Indian Creek near mile marker 5 on the 192. Although it does take the best part ot three quarters of an hour to get from MK to the car park as well.

I'll try to post more later on when my brain gets into gear.

Thanks to all for the hints and tips that have been posted, its great to read of others experiences over there.

Hi, We have just booked a late minute holiday to Orlando. Can anyone please hep me by advising which parks to go to (2 adults and 1x4year child).

Where can we buy our tickets from remember that we fly out this Sunday and what show etc could we go to.

Any information would be greatly received. Many Thanks.
how long are you going for?
if its two weeks, in my opinion i would buy the 14 day ticket (as mentioned above from disney) and just enjoy your stay with your family at the disney parks, they all have something to offer everyone.are you staying at disney hotel?
if you get the 14 day pass, you can take time out and have a 'rest' day at a water park, every other day (theres two of them and they are both full day parks, fantastic) i would definately do the magic kingdom, and probably animal kingdom, as the child will love both and theres stuff to do for adults too.
all depends how much time you have.

However it is 2009 prices for £169 instead of around £184 so a fair saving if you are going early in the year and can afford to pay the money now.

Segway tour of Celebration here http://www.zetours.com/ which sounds like fun.

Hi Edinburghlass and anyone else who may know,

Love the sound of the Segway tour of Celebration - something completely different. Can't find prices on the zetours website. Have you seen any quoted? Would like to compare to prices for the World Showcase tour. Thanks!

  • Strange that, I went to look and couldn't find a price either, perhaps email them?

Seems there are other companies that do the tour in Celebration so maybe Google for them?

This this has all the prices on it - $50 pp, min age 16 - 90 minute tour

From our experience this year we went last weekedn in April & First in May, it was good, we didn't need any fastpasses at Unversal as we got on stuff within 15 minutes, did alot of stuff twice, Disney also was OK, you could get a fastpass on 1 ride go on another and when you were out it was straight on the one you just fast passed.

I've currently checked for 2010 to go again, but on last checking it was only up until the end of 2009, give it a few more months.

We stayed on Highlands reserve about 10/15 mins drive from Disney, good location as its on the highway 27, so you can go on eitehr the 192 or the interstate 4 for everything. Villa was also very good, own pool etc.

I would delay booking flights until next after March next year when this happens?

The so-called "open skies" deal between the US and European Union has come into effect, aiming to open up trans-Atlantic air travel. Ending limits on which airlines can fly between Europe and the US, it is expected to start a large rise in the number of different carriers flying across the Atlantic.

Thanks for that but we have contacted the disney store and they have none left for this year before we travel. We leave on Sunday. One disney store employee suggested that we buy them in Florida at MK do you know if this is much more expensive and are they big line to wait in. Many thanks

theres a disney store at orlando airport! so you might get them there, or if your staying at a disney hotel you can get it there, added on to your room key card. not sure of prices tho and the 14 day ulitmate ticket is only available to uk guests in the uk, where do you live, might need to take a day out and go disney store searching. if you flying from gatwick, theres a disney store in kingston surrey!

    Is this tickets?

You can buy them from hotels, DTD, the parks. There are queues but there are LOADS of ticket selling machines at the parks, it never a hassle.

It depends on what tickets you want but you can't buy the UK 14 day ticket in Orlando but try Googling for a US company that will sell and deliver to your hotel or you can pick up on arrival. Couple of years ago I used a company that you printed out your own tickets and changed for proper tickets at CS at the park but I'm sorry I can't find the website, it was cheap too :(
