  • I think you have made a very sensible decision. It won't be forever - just until you get in control of your debts :)

ok just spoke to oh and he said himself we really cant afford to take her and that she is not going to go again. he even said all she does is play like she does at home. so that 30pound im going to put towards bills/xmas

Sounds like a plan well done.

I know its not exactly a break but have you thought about taking her to a play group? It should only cost a couple of pound. She gets to play with other children, get rid of some energy and you can sit and (hopefully) relax and have a chat and a coffee and a change of scenery??

  • Ask your health visitor at your local surgery - they will have a list of playgroups in your area. It will be a great way to meet new people too.

Are you registered with a GP? Do you have a health visitor? Have you checked online for your local council / health centre for a mums and tots group? My local library has vast amounts of information (it is in the same building as a community social services branch so they share a lot of group information). Have a look at yahoo groups and put your local town as your search criteria (suprising what it can bring up)!

    Good luck, Cat.x

  • If you go on your local councils website you should be able to find out about local playgroups. It might be good for you to go as you have just moved to the area to help make new friends/acquaintances. Its good to have a change of scenery too when you are not working and even though you will still be 'technically' looking after your daughter it should still be a break.
  • The library might have a toddlers reading group too which she might enjoy. You could also utilise the library for free resources to keep your daughter stimulated now she isn't going to the nursery.
