£8.45 went west today - OH has taken some time off & decimated the bread supplies, so I had to replace them way before I usually do. Plus I stocked up on a yogurt-type thing I'm fond of; BB4 mid-Jan so that should keep me going for a bit.

£49.64 for me this week folks and signature updated. Not much of the weekly budget left over but I'm stocking up a bit ready for any bad weather. I have the ingredients in to make Christmas extras, but I do need to go to the butcher on Thursday for some decent sausages as the HT's best friend is coming to tea. She's lovely to cook for as she really appreciates her food so I don't mind buying decent stuff from the butcher (sausages are made on the premises and they're so tasty).

YorksLass, that’s a great technique. Thanks for sharing.

Today was a NSD after all because I couldn’t be bothered going out. The weather was dreadful and I decided to take it easy today which means I’m up to 5 NSDs for the month. Tomorrow I’ll stop at a store to get more berries, yoghurt, vinegar and maybe trash bags. Later this week I’ll have to get some basics like lemons, olive oil and eggs.

    TOTALS SO FAR:
    €81.11/€350.00
    5 / 12 NSD

    Budgets updated to here

    Hi all

I'm caught up on the thread now, loving reading about all your shopping and some great recipes this month!

thriftwizard thinking of you, and great idea to get some meals ready!

I have blown my budget as always this month, in all areas, so now I have £40 to last me until payday for groceries. This should be plenty; it's basically 2 weeks away and I have a massive bean and vegf chilli in the slow cooker at home, and a couple of portions of mushroom and leek risotto I made yesterday, plus plenty of veg for a minute in the fridge, but I'd like to make a soup this week too - I have everything in that I need.
So I will track my £40 for the rest of this month :rotfl:

Happy birthday, @MadamMim2013! I hope you have a lovely week.

Yesterday was an accidental NSD for me too. OH reminded me at the last minute that we were supposed to attend an artist friend's drink and paint session. She's experimenting with the concept as a way to get customers and some extra money besides her painting commissions. It was a great time and I came out of it with a not too shabby painting. I kind of surprised myself, really.

I'll head to shops this afternoon after a client meeting and I'll update my sig afterward. Have a great day everyone!
