BW Legal LOC for NCP parking

The old name/address has no mileage for you (you do need to tell them your correct address as otherwise you run the risk of getting a default CCJ registered against you that you know nothing about)
Responding to a LBCCA is covered in #2 of the Newbies FAQ thread near the top of this forum0 -
Beamerguy, along with the letter was a few packs asking for payment plans etc but no proof or pictures of the incident just stating the charge is £160.The debt collectors were Trace Debt Recovery, complete and utter shambles!
Typical of BWLegal, they are such a joke.
No need to complete any of the forms,
NO PROOF ???? That is what the new protocol is all about.
Again they have failed so you need to remind them of their legal requirement to provide PROOF OF THEIR CLAIM
You also require a breakdown of the £60, the paper trail that leads to this charge0 -
Hi again, I've drafted up a response, tried to not use a copy/paste one from the newbie thread and instead write it up myself. As this is the first response I've given I've kept it pretty brief... Please have a look and let me know what you think, thank you all in advance!
At this stage I haven't sited any of the following as I thought it's better to hold this back until a second response -
- The stress that this continuing harassment has caused (which is backed up by an actual doctors diagnosis)
- The fact parking was paid for 1 hour and although ANPR shows 1 hour 34 minutes the ticket wasn't purchased for 12 minutes after entering the car park due to parking finding a space then purchasing etc... This would make it only 22 minutes over the allotted time and as mentioned above due to a sick screaming child.
To whom it may concern.
I am writing to you regarding the recent “letter of claim” I have received dated X November 2018. I am surprised to have received this letter after responding several times to Trace Debt Recovery asking for details on what exactly was being claimed for with no response to any of my enquiries.
Thank you for sending across this letter although it doesn’t have any information about the detail of the claim you are making and doesn’t provide me with any evidence to support this claim. At this stage I am unaware of any infringement on my part and as such I will not be accepting any liability for this unsolicited and frankly phishing letter.
I also require information about the “principal debt and initial legal costs” you’ve eluded to on your letter as this hasn’t been broken down, it’s almost as if you’ve just plucked a figure out of the air. With any response I expect to see a full breakdown of this cost and the paper trail that leads to this charge.
Kind regards0 -
Very down to earth ....... :T
Let us know how they reply, probably some waffle which they are well known for ..... such an unprofessional bunch
PS, when you respond to someone scamming you ...
IT'S ..... DEAR SIRS and YOURS FAITHFULLY0 -
Thanks Beamerguy, I'll change it to dear sirs and yours faithfully etc...
Do you think i should add in anything about parking times and stress etc to this one or wait until the second response?0 -
Sent off the email last night and got a generic reply asking for some data protection information aka trying to get all of my personal details (Nice try you T**Ts)
Will let you all know as and when I receive a reply :-)0 -

Well then treat your email as a further generic reply and keep sending it to them until they wake up0 -
Quick update, I haven't heard anything back from BW legal at all yet. The LBA stated that if they haven't heard by the 14th December they'd continue with proceedings.
I'm just a bit concerned that they either haven't seen it or ignored it and will just continue with proceedings without coming back to us, shall I resend it over again before the 14th? i have proof of the email being sent and received as we got an auto reply but just wanted to get some advice.
Thank you in advance!0 -
Look, to be honest - theyre likely to issue a claim whatever you say
They dont get paid nearly as much by their victim - their client, sorry - unless they do so.0 -
Morning everyone!
So this morning through the post we received a Claim form from the county court.
Never heard back from our message to BW Legal so they had obviously ignored that and just went ahead.
Question is what do I do now?
As per my email I sent them above I hadn’t gone into only actually being 22 minutes over or the stress related diagnosis backed up by a doctor.
Looking at the options I’m going to disagree with the claim and maybe file a counterclaim for the above reasons.
Just a bit worried and not sure what to do next, thanks in advance :-)0
