Hello my lovely friends. Lots of champagne moments. One of which is filling 4 vases with these beauties from my garden. So colourful. The orange for
my lounge, the deep red for my bedroom and the pink and white for the dining room.

Lovely day here.......planted up the lavender plants I have been nurturing in pots. Planted about 10, aiming to create a lavender hedge In the front garden. I love the smell on a warm summers day.
Still keeping up with the new exercise regime. Cardio (dance) and stretching. Feeling better for it, although my neck is aching a bit now (gardening) so going to stop typing, cook my dinner and then put my feet up and watch the last few episodes of "Designated Survivor".7 -

Hi everyone,
It's been a very hectic time since my last post what with DIY, gardening, trip to the vet (nothing serious, just booster jabs - although that turned into a faff after two members of staff at our usual vet tested positive for Covid-19 and we had to find an alternative that could accommodate us) and last minute deliveries.
There's been some champagne moments in there somewhere, but tbh we're both feeling a bit too shattered to notice!
So much for my assertion that we had everything we needed to complete the bathroom and main bedroom, lol.....
First, despite DH's careful calculations we ran out of timber for the panelling, then we realised that back in 2018 when we ordered the sanitary ware etc we'd omitted to buy an exposed chrome trap for the free-standing bath. Having extensively searched my fabric stash, realisation dawned that I had nothing suitable for the main bedroom curtains. Then of course there were the replacement tiles....oh and paint - typically the two tins of F&B we'd purchased weren't nearly enough
Next, in a moment of madness - brought on, no doubt by the fear of a looming lockdown #2 - we decided to order the building materials (or at least the lion's share) we'll need to build the extension next Spring. DH secured a good discount so it made sense.
So, it's been all go here!
Fabric shops are pretty non-existent where we live so thank heavens for my favourite online shopping destination, eBay, lol! I a found a fantastic 3.5m remnant for only £25 (RRP £40 per m)
Anyway, the tiles arrived yesterday and are absolutely fab!!! Of course I couldn't resist laying a few out to get an idea (excuse my shadow!).....Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

My champagne moment today will be getting my hair cut at home. It's only £20 for both of us, including a tip. I will put a deep conditioning treatment on for a while before she gets here.
I need to dye my husband's hair afterwards as he has very dark hair and the white hair is shockingly obvious and looks very weird at the moment.
I'm enjoying the free trial of a horror channel called Shudder. We watched an interesting documentary about five horror films and the strange events that happened on the sets. It was called Cursed Films.
I'm not sure if we will renew it after the free trial but we will watch another film tonight.

Phoebe - I hope you are sharing your beautiful home and garden wider than 'just' our little forum? Instagram would love you (if it doesn't already!).
I have only recently started posting pics of our progress on Instagram, yes, and gradually building up some followers.....
I do hope it all works out and you are in your lovely new home in time for Christmas, btw
Also, beautiful vibrant flowers, LL! I confess most of our vases are filled with shop-bought blooms right now.... except the sweet peas in our snug which are the plant that keeps on giving!Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
