My Champagne moments today were enjoying the sunshine when I went to LIdl in Camberwell Green with my daughter to do the weekly shop.:D
My other Champagne moment was having the last of my Mother's Day books and my Ikea order arrive.
I have started to read Me Before You by JoJo Moyes and I am really enjoying it.Reading keeps me from dwelling about the awful facts about corona virus in the UK and ensures that I am resting and relaxing.

I love that story......even if it is a bit close to home....my late husband ended up a quadriplegic. But just like Will Traynor, the hero in this tale, my husband had the same sharp intellect, dry humour and zest for life. (And the same bossiness😂). And.....just like Lou, the girl who blossoms and grows in confidence under Will's tutelage, I too became much more confident, less risk averse, and more outgoing as a result of having my husband in my life. Like Will, my husband encouraged me and sometimes even pushed me to do more and be more, opening up my world.I now have the next two books of the trilogy to read. I'm really looking forward to curling up with them and seeing what happens next. Currently reading some non fiction from the library so really need to finish those first, although of course I don't suppose I need worry about returning them for a while yet.....Special champagne moment today......discovering that two of the five peonies I planted last year are covered in buds. The other three won't flower this year but seem to be doing ok. Why is that so special.......well they were mums favourite flower so I planted them in her memory. So pleased that they have taken.Apparently two more days of warm sunshine then it dips a bit colder again, so I will focus on the garden for the next couple of days and then start my next indoor project when the weather turns. Keeping busy, positive and serene. I don't really mind this self isolation milarky. I'm lucky to have a garden to enjoy. During the hot summer of 1976 I lived in a bedsit, it was boiling so my then boyfriend and I spent all our time in the local park, even taking our meals there. Sadly that's not an option for flat dwellers at the moment because of course picnics in the park aren't allowed. I do feel for families with children in flats, not an ideal option at the best of times but it must be so difficult at the moment.5

A massive champagne moment was a supermarket delivery today!
I booked it almost three weeks ago, but was able to adjust it last night to suit our needs. No idea when I will be able to book another, as it would appear neither of us fit the criteria to qualify to be on "the list". So, I am trying not to use my immuno-suppressants and dash into the local shop once a week . I can't carry much, but it is keeping us going.
Our neighbours have bought a few bits for me when they haven't needed to go to the limit of items they're allowed - it is quite exciting!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.5 -
Fantastic sunny day here today so although we said we'd be taking it easy we couldn't resist a bit of gardening
Mostly digging/weeding which is not a champagne moment whichever way you look at it, but the end results certainly are! One of my tasks is to round up any stray primroses and relocate them to one spot beneath our ancient, moss-covered apple tree - previously they were in totally random locations (mostly coming up through the pointing in the previous owners hideous paving which is on the list for replacing next year). I've found/replanted twenty so far, some of which are actually large clumps worthy of dividing up......seeing those with their sunny little faces en masse is certainly a champagne moment!
I've also been potting up one of DH's favourites - red geraniums (I'm not a fan but I can't have it all my own way, lol;) into vintage terracotta pots we bought a few years back. They will sit on the sunny south-facing stone sills of the book room.
Peonies are lovely, LL/Helen - we've planted six Sarah Bernhardts here, four during our first spring/summer (2018) so those are getting well established. I actually have a small peony that was part of a huge plant growing at my maternal grandparents' house and that is doing well too

My Champagne moment today was having a glass of Tesco low alcohol white wine while I was watching Chicago Fire on catch up TV services.
Lucky for me I had 2 bottles left over from a previous online Tesco shop. They were only £2.25 each when I bought them as they were on offer so reduced from the usual price of £2.75 each

Happy Easter Everyone.Hope you are all having a lovely weekend. It's a strange one though isn't it.....many of us not being able to have the kind of Easter we would normally enjoy. Never mind.....once we get through this and the restrictions are eased a little we can start to see our loved ones again.I did feel a bit "widowy" yesterday but I managed to cook myself a nice meal, opened a bottle of wine and ended up watching a film, so not too bad in the end. Fortunately I feel a lot brighter today.Going to pamper myself a bit and then do a bit more decluttering.Hoe you all enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.Keep those champagne moments coming. 😉9

Happy Easter everyone
Not much to report at the mo .We've been sitting in the garden, n playing fetch, my right arm is killing me 😂😂Bon's a very rare Staffy, who likes fetching 😉
Have been watching all sorts on Netflix, Inc The Tiger King, which is absolutely mental. I obviously hated the underlying cruelty to animals , but was fascinated by the story of Joe Exotic 😯😯"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

My Champagne moment today is realising that apart from an intermittent cough all of my gruesome symptoms have gone, so I am feeling almost like my old self.
I still tire more easily and I need more sleep at night and naps in the daytime, but as my life is being led at a lot slower pace, this is not a problem.

I have been getting out for an hour walk each day for well over a week now. The blossom on the trees is lovely and so is the weather. I've been listening to podcasts or music. It's a bit cooler today so I wore my denim jacket over my dress and vest top.
I am off a medication I had to take and I have lost more weight so I'm almost back to the weight I was before I started taking them. It's been two weeks off them and I have lost 6 and a 1/2 pounds.
I have a shopping delivery coming Wednesday. I booked it ages ago! I bought some of my favourite vegan sausages and some chocolate, and vodka! I fancy making a vegan roast dinner with roast potatoes, stuffing and gravy so I will do that Wednesday.
