I git so fed up trying to reconnect that in the end I had to rejoin, anyway here I am.
my User name is after my one of my favourite actors, the fabulous Helen Mirren......apparently done people think I look a bit like her. Lol. Anyway all is well here, apart from some storm damage.
I need to catch up with all your doings so I'll be back later......

Hello everyone.....
Well I think I'm caught up with all your news.
I'm afraid there's not much to tell here. My neck and shoulder are still pretty sore so trying to rest and let them heal. Although I think I need to see a physio. I will give it another week or so and if there's no improvement I'll just bite the bullet and book a consultation.
I Had a lovely weekend, afternoon tea at a posh hotel and dinner with some family members, and then playing with my grandson etc.
Unfortunately the storm did some damage to the roof on Sunday so I have been busy trying to sort things out, I have arranged for a temporary repair to the dormer window so hopefully that will stop any further water ingress and more damage. Could have done without the hassle (and expense) but there you ago.
At least I have some nice outings planned for next weekend and next week. The diary is filling up nicely.....and it will soon be spring - time for me to come out of hibernation.lol.

Sorry to hear about the storm damage HBF. Hope it's sorted quickly and painlessly.

Thanks thanks FS.
Got a temp fix done yesterday, so at least it's water tight. As far as I can tell the main water ingress was around the roof to the dormer window in the loft bedroom. Although no one sleeps there I've set up the dehumidifier to dry out the plaster as quickly as possible to avoid mould.
I notice storm Dennis is forecast so just hoping the temporary fix will hold until I can get the proper repairs done. The Met Office have said it won't be so bad next time. Fingers crossed.
what larks......lol.
Just looking forward to spring/summer now.8 -

Oh I shall miss Jackie O. One of my favourite posters too. Such a lovely lady, so wise, knowledgeable and kind. MSE has lost a great asset to the forums.
Yeah still call me LL, that's fine. I don't mind. I only chose a new name so I could reregister.
"A rose by any other name........". Lol.
Tbh I don't think I will post as much or as often now from now on, just here and the Fab thread, so I can keep in touch with you lovely lot. Apart from anything else I find typing aggravates my shoulder.
Anyway, glad you made the transition ok. Any news on the neuro appt.
Had a fab day yesterday, some nice champagne moments. Met DIL and Grandson for a quick coffee. He is such a flirt......charming everyone in the cafe. Had a mooch round the shops, didn't buy much but did snaffle up a lovely summer weight brocade evening coat. £3. Bargain.
Right off to do a freezer inventory. See what concoctions I can dream up. Lol. Food budget going well, £87 spent so far. Did a stock up yesterday so hopefully shouldn't need to spend much more this month.

I will miss JackieO too, she has been around for a long time. I can understand why a person would just leave though
I dont think I will be spending the hours trawling through like I used to. I really feel they have killed the forum with these changesWith love, POSR11
