CANDY !
Your Valentine. My Murphy was a staffie brindle. One of the greatest loves of my life. My first dog. Fifteen and a half years of a love affair that went both ways. We were made for each other.
My Tiggy is also a staffie. White. Rescued her 9 years ago. Different relationship but the love still abounds.

My Murphy, brindle, died September 2018 aged 15 and a half. Almost like your Buddy.
I grieve him still every single day. It is difficult to explain Staffies to those that don't know but they are the most loving dogs. My Aunty who is in her late 60's had them since she was a little girl, long before they became popular when some idiots ruined their reputations. When I rescued Tiggy, her awful state I will explain another time, Staffies were being euthanised by the hundreds per day. Criminal.
I don't know how to post photos but will learn soon so I promise you one........AKA : Bala La Boo & Bala Baloo

A bit late, but...
First, deeply saddened that JackieO has left. Many years ago, we were both waiting for biopsy results at the same time. I've admired her courage and her ability to make £1 do the work of £10 ever since.
HBF, Confession time : I do not drive, and have never driven, although I do like to sit in the front and give directionsIt can be a pain at times, but 95% of the time it is not a problem especially now that online shopping means I don't have to search from shop to shop for particular craft supplies.
MiL gave up her car and was happier because of it. Being of a friendly (or nosy!) disposition she enjoyed chatting her way through a bus journey.

I don't know how to drive either.
I have had free travel in London for years now through my husband's job so I doubt I will ever bother to learn!

I have been feeling very up and down in mood for the past few months and it has got much worse in the past few weeks so I have had to see a psychiatrist and get a prescription for medication. I haven't needed to take any meds for years now, almost 10 years. Oh well, my mind must need a break for a while.
I have made a list of nice treats and activities that I want to do to relax. I need to get the free £250 therapy money I can claim sorted out. I think I will get massage or reiki. I must make a decision next week!
I bought two magazines yesterday and I really enjoyed the health one, Top Sante, so I have subscribed to that for a year. You get a discount if you sign up for 13 copies.
I went to a lovely local cafe the other day and got a toasted sandwich and salad and it wasn't too expensive so I think I will do that once a week from now on.
I have charged my kindle and I want to read all the light-hearted books I have. Nothing too downbeat or heavy that might disrupt my mood more.
I just had a very relaxing bath with candles, incense and then put on body lotion afterwards. I need to go and pick up my medication so I hope Storm Dennis doesn't hit while I'm out. I have to check the weather. ETA - actually it is supposed to hit around lunchtime so I had better leave now, lol.

Hi Wednesday
hope you don't mind me responding.
When my first awful period of depression hit I resisted getting help thinking that if I fought through it I would be okay. But it just went on and on..........
It was a friend that asked me if I would take insuline if I was a diabetic and of course I would. She pointed out that medication for depression is exactly the same thing. It's just about balancing chemicals.
And EVERYONE needs a break now and again.
Hugs flying your way.

My Champagne moment yesterday was my son coming for dinner with me to celebrate Valentine's Day. We had jerk chicken leg with pilau rice and he shared a bottle of Tesco's Rose low alcohol wine with his sister. I had my usual bottle of water8
