Not a great night.....didn't sleep too well and still feeling grim. But......a champagne moment .......of sorts.
Had an email......from a guy from Meet Up. Never met him. Apparently he saw my photo, thinks I'm beautiful and wants to meet.
No chance......:rotfl:
I will not be responding. It's just sounds too weird and creepy.
But, I am vain enough to feel slightly flattered, so it did cheer me up a bit. Especially as I am not even remotely photogenic and I actually look better in the flesh than I do in a photo.
As I say still not feeling that great so will just take it easy, will transfer all my stuff to my new diary and work on my ideas file. Will try and manage a stroll to the shops, get some fresh air.
Didn't set foot out of the door yesterday. Starting to get cabin fever......:rotfl:1 -
Hope you're feeling better, LL.
I'm celebrating my ultimate champagne moment, or to confess, ultimate impulse buy - a new car! It's a pre-reg Corsa, complete with all the fancy bits like heated seats.
My older car will be passed to DD as we've worried about her driving around in a really old car. That's my excuse anyway.
PS. I'm not really a newbie.1 -

Wow. That's fab-u-Lou's. Enjoy..
Good idea to pass you other car to your daughter too, you know she has something safe and reliable.
Managed to get back to sleep for a while. Feel a bit brighter. I think sleep is the answer when we are ill.1 -

DDs and I are in our church's christmas musical. It's great fun, and free
We're 'performing' on Christmas day at the afternoon's family service, and have croissants/pain-au-chocolats afterwards with the other visitors.
This means we will have our family's christmas dinner at noon. I chucked away my 2019 diary and it made me think of the past year and a half. I can't remember if I said this on here but I started having panic attacks since the summer of 2018 when my dog nearly died and had to be on a drip for a whole month.
I think it was just the culmination of my husband being very ill for the years before and then me being ill and quite a few of my pets died as well.
I have been having panic attacks on and off and at really random times like if I was going to meet someone and I was late.
I realised that they have suddenly stopped!
I did go on an anti anxiety medication but I don't even take it daily. The last panic attack I had was on the train when I was going to the coast, back in early October.
I even went into London hours after the recent London Bridge terror attack and I didn't have one. I was on the Jubilee line and London Bridge is on that line. I hadn't taken any medication for the week before as well
I'm not entirely sure why they have stopped but it is definitely a champagne moment for me!:T1 -
that is really good news. I know the feeling so to feel free of it is such a relief.

Wednesday that is great news that you have stopped having panic attacks. :j
LL I hope you are feeling much better by tomorrow
My Champagne moment today was having a M & S lasagne with my younger son and daughter as I could not be bothered to cook dinner for us all. We all found it delicious.
I used the free £10 Marks and Spencer e-gift card I got from Hearst magazines to buy the lasagne and some pork cocktail sausages, so it was a completely free meal for my family. :T1 -
Hello all,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the lovely messages of support reference my last couple of posts. It really does help to post on here and speak to others who understand - I genuinely do appreciate everyone who responded to me
I hope you are all enjoying the run up to Christmas.
I am really sorry to hear you are poorly LL, I do hope you are feeling better in the morning and back to your usual self. You are an absolute inspiration and make me feel more positive with your words
I am really looking forward to the next week. We dont really have anything special planned - hubby is working every day except Christmas day...and I am off until the 2nd Jan - so I have a lot of time to myself
BUT I quite like the idea of having a few days to myself if I am honest. It is nice to potter around - or play my instrument all day long
When he is home, I am completely unproductive, and it is not his fault, I just end up sitting nattering to him lol
I will be spending tomorrow with my son - and exchanging gifts then
Other than practising my instrument, I have a few household jobs that need doing - like oiling my wooden worktops - which doesn't take too long - & I do love the warm homey feel of a wooden worktop
I will catch up on my washing etc, take my curtains down and all those exciting things that rarely get a look in
Other than new years day - my Gran always used to tell us not to wash on new years day, superstition - has anyone else heard this? I dont know anyone IRL that doesn't wash on new years day - but to be honest it is a tradition that I am happy to keep...saves me bothering
It is not all housework though, like I say I have my instrument (I am performing in a 'gig' first week of Jan so I really need the practise) and I am meeting up with a new work friend for a few drinks one day
I have some chick flicks that I recorded that I can watch - I have never seen 'Love Actually' and I recorded that on the tele box thing when it was on the other day
I do hope you all have a wonderful Christmas - and get well soon LL xxxxThe opposite of what you know...is also true1
