I got a new purse and a new necklace. The necklace was 5% off.
I also bought a tray to organise my jewellery in my chest of drawers. It all looks neat and tidy now. I keep going back to the drawer to look in and admire it.:rotfl:0 -
Good evening everyone,
Thank you for the good wishes:).
Well done on the weight loss LL and sugarbaby:D.
Simple pleasures today of the weather being better though still chilly, having a productive day and making a smashing pot leek & tattie soup.:)
Been thinking of you Hun.Hope you're ok :kisses3:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Thanks CG,
Champagne moments today were pottering outdoors in the garden then having a smile looking through a box of old photos. My I had "big" hair in the '80s:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I think we all had big hair back in the 80s. Mine is big now unless brought under control with straighteners. Well I guess the upside is I won't go bald.
Joining those of you on the losing weight kick - it is just creeping up and up and that needs to stop.
Went to the cinema last night to see Pet Semetary - remember reading the book as a teenager. Not a good choice for me - I jump through horror films and found it quite disturbring. The next ones on my to see list are Wild Rose, The Keeper and Red Joan.
Have a good day all with lots of champagne moments.0 -
Champagne moment.
Just pulled out a bag of summer clothes I have not been able to wear for the last couple,e of years. I will be in them soon.:D.
A whole new wardrobe awaits. :rotfl:
Bitterly cold wind here, so having a declutter and a cooking day. Then later a bit of a mini spa session.
Went for my massage yesterday, feel a lot "looser" so going to do some Pilates in a bit.
Some good films there, Shirley.
Big 80s hair......lol, shoulder pads and perms. Ha ha.0 -
Good evening everyone,
Good to see I'm not the only one that suffered from "big hair ", though quite why I thought my naturally curly hair needed perming:rotfl::rotfl:. Thank goodness for straightners these days:D.
"Champagne moments" for today were my dental costs being much less than expected and after having a serious cull of my personal paperwork getting it all re-filed and put back in the cupboard.:)
My various pots of money are coming in handy as I've had a number of largeish outlays regarding my Dad's affairs. I'll get the money back once his estate is settled but it feels good to know I can cover these in the short term without dipping into my main savings with the resulting loss of interest. I feel for folk that aren't able to do this and end up with debt when a loved one dies.:(0 -
Well done to everyone who is losing weight and hugs to caronc. I lost my mother last year. She died after moving to a nursing home, just as we were in the process of selling her flat, so everything had to be on hold until the estate was sorted out..
I have started to get quotes for refurbishing my bathroom, which I think will be nearer champagne than lemonade but will be worth it in the end.Grocery challenge 2025: £650/1500 annual budget0 -
Definitely worth it ancientmum. Had my bathroom done last year. Cost an arm and a leg but I absolutely love it.

My Champagne moment today was having my grandson pay an unexpected visit this morning. It was such a relief to see him and to be able to give him a really big hug as he is really struggling at the moment.
I went to see the film Dumbo today at my local Odeon and I had such a fun time. I felt my inner child really relishing every second of this incredible remake of the original film. This film was even better than the original Disney cartoon. I would give this film 10/10 :j:D0 -
Omg , has anyone else's screen gone black with white writing? I hate it:("You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
