Hi everyone
Went on market last week. Not sure how my house looks to outside eyes so would like some honest feedback. Is there anything that puts you off or that you’d change?

If I was browsing Rightmove. I would feel that it has potential. Nothing particular springs to mind that I wouldn't view it. Don't know the area at all I should add.
You may struggle to get much serious interest this side of Xmas.0 -

Its inoffensive, its clean and tidy, but its dated and most people will be looking at fully redecorating and replacing the kitchen, bathrooms and probably the fireplace.
There are three bedrooms, the first has a single bed in it, why? The second is a poor picture and I can't get a sense of the size of it, and the third doesn't have a bed, just a rug! This, coupled with the small kitchen and the fact that there is only a table for two people to eat at will make potential viewers think the house is too small for more than a couple and maybe one young child, without the space for a bigger family.0 -

Half-hearted attempt at a floor plan. According to it, bedrooms 2 and 3 don't have any windows. Bedroom 3 doesn't even have a door!0

I’m not sure about the arrangement of the living room / dining room. Wonder if there was a bookcase or something between them to give more of a separation between lounge and diner? May just be my preference.
The angles of the photos are a bit odd, either very high or very low. Worth retaking the pics on a sunny day as I think that would show the space off a little better.Total debt outstanding: Jan18 -£1813 / Feb18 -£1649 / Mar18 -£1278 / Apr18 -£999 / May18 -£632 / June18 -£316 / July18 £0

My overall thought is that I hate integral garages - it means that the downstairs is too small relative to the upstairs....and I bet you can't get a car in the garage, or maybe you can but not get out of it!Money won't buy you happiness....but I have never been in a situation where more money made things worse!0

Its fine. It will probably eventually sell for less but then thats to be expected.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

It's a typical developer's basic detached with no frills: bland, little money spent since construction and difficult to now improve without spending too much. Seems set up for two people with no interest in gardening.
It's clean, uncluttered and you need to jazz it up a bit, colour-wise, so it doesn't look as if the interior was by the Communist Party's decor committee. A few art prints on the walls, brighter bed-linen etc would be cost effective. Get rid of the "Billy and Bessie no mates" table & two chairs set up.

As someone with a young family in the market for a 3-bed detached (though nowhere near Grimsby unfortunately) I think the house looks fine. There’s nothing that would stop me viewing it assuming it’s priced sensibly for the area.
Although the decor is slightly dated, it’s not something I’d panic about, I’d probably just look to make changes gradually over the first few years of being in the property.
I’d like to see a view of the rear of the house from the back of the garden. Immediate reaction to seeing the garden is that it’s quite small and overlooked, but that seems the norm now among these type of houses.
I do kind of agree with the poster above in that the house gives off an air of ‘value’. A few creative flourishes with the staging might help to give it a more premium feel.0
