If yours is also CP Plus, then they are more likely to just cancel when they see you have not named the driver, you live out of court jurisdiction and have also sussed that the NTK arrive too late to hold even an England-based keeper liable. They usually cancel!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am the registered keeper in a similar situation (the driver slept in the car for 2 "excess" hours at Southwaite Moto during a long journey from the South of England to Scotland.) I have already submitted - as the registered keeper - an appeal based on the Charge Notice being dated/delivered 15/17 days after the alleged overstay, but it would be useful to get the England/Scotland legal issue resolved if the appeal goes to the next stage, as I guess it will.

Happily, CP Plus have cancelled the PCN they issued to me as registered keeper.

Many thanks to all those on this and other threads who have helped with this matter.

I have used a similar motorway car park in England to sleep in a Travelodge, reception person asked for the car reg at check in. After check out we had breakfast in the services and left before 13:00, charge is timed 12:56. I am still trying to figure out why I got a fine. It was a car hired in Scotland and I live in Scotland. I have now got a letter from the hire company to pay a £35 admin charge to them, presumably for dealing with giving out my details!? Limited details of the "offence" other than CP Limited, place and date. My name is misspelled in the letter from the car hire company to me and it has my address line but the post code of a town 10miles away.

Help what do I do. How can I also not pay the £35 to the hire company ? Even though they might have already charged me

Partner's just told me they might have given the wrong registration at hotel reception as one letter was misspelled on the key chain from hire company. Would this make a difference or if I start enquiring about this I admit to being there at the time ? No harm calling hotel to confirm car reg input right ?

aleen - probably best to start your own thread. (Yes, I know the OP's situation is resolved, but people coming to the thread may not realise this. We work here on the basis of 1 OP + 1 incident per thread otherwise advice can get confused, which helps nobody).

You need your own thread of you are asking for advice. Contributing useful advice to a thread is of course always welcome.
