    I am here :j:j:j.
Happy New Year everyone. And many happy potting returns :D.
So far I have potted 12 x £2 coins (there is another one rolling around in the car to add to it),and 6 x 50p coins.
Really must ramp up my game if I am going to exceed my last year's total :o.

  • Morning,

Potted a bit this morning, not much but I'm hoping to pot a bit each day or couple of days if I can.

Many thanks for my number. I have an old sweetie tub all ready, and have put in the last of the change from my purse at the end of 2018.

Not sure how much I can save, but I did find a £2 hiding under a pile of books on the bedside table, so into the pot it goes.

    Hi all

I've been on MSE for years but don't often comment on threads, I just read, so now I've decided to take the bull by the horns and really get on it this year, then couldn't remember username or password and just started a new account so I'm a newbie to the SPC but not to MSE :-)

so please can I join you and share my saving experience with you all x

Can I join please? Really trying to make more of an effort than ever this year with things.
Can I just ask? Do people keep a running total so they know how much they have in their pots, or is it just chuck it in and wait till you open it. Mine will just be copper and 5ps that I have in my purse each day.

Welcome aboard, Sue will be along to give you a member number :). In the meantime have a read of post 1 as it tells you how the challenge works, then you’re ready to start your potting, yippee!

I don’t keep a running total as I like a surprise at the end of the year but others do so feel free to do what works for you.

Look forward to reading all your potting news (cause I’m nosey :rotfl:)

    Hi everyone :)

So i've set myself an allowance of £10 a day, anything that I don't spend goes in the pot!
Yesterday was a bit of a spend day so only 32p for the pot, but then found 5p roadkill on way home so that took it up to 37p :D
Today was better and just needed a couple of bits so another £6.80 saved :j:j
:jYou've got to be in it to win it!! Just believe to receive!! :j
