    Hello Potters :)

It's been another hectic couple of weeks as DH and I have been puppy sitting for our DD; two gorgeous 7 month old Bichon x Chihuahua. They are absolutely adorable but SOOOO much work! I've been dashing from home to work and back again. We've had a couple of accidents but on the whole they have been very good. I will be glad to return the responsibility to my DD though! Our old lab and the cat will be pretty happy too, I think :rotfl: The cat has been living in the field with the cows because the puppies keep barking at her! Good job the weather has been warm.... We return them tonight, so normal service resumes tomorrow

I have been neglecting my pot, but I will be potting £7.69 today :T Enjoy the rest of your week :)

I'm so glad everything is working out so well for you all with Harley, especially with your DH. Yup, you'll be needing a blanket, especially when she moults!
It's good to hear young Jake will be coming home again when you go on holiday. A good idea with this year's potting!! Our next door neighbours have gone on a cruise - under 2 weeks and it's costing £4500!!!!!!!:eek:

I may have a secret :o Dh turns 50 next year and I may have just booked us a surprise week away just the two of us . . he doesn't find out until 2 weeks before we fly :rotfl: Now to stop him trying to book this holiday he wants as I've used our excess pennies :rotfl:

Little Harley is still a bundle of mischief but growing at a rate of knots  Had a scare earlier in the week when DH dashed her home from a walk saying 'she swallowed a bolt! I saw it on the ground and the next thing I knew it was gone! I searched EVERYWHERE for it!', Emergency vet appointment, scan, £156 bill to be told 'there is a lot of food in there but definitely no bolt!', could have battered DH! :rotfl: but as I said to the vet, I'd rather pay £156 to be told she hasn't swallowed a bolt than have her go through an operation to remove said bolt from her belly.

Found a scratchcard with £2 win on it in my office and it was still valid! :j so £2 coin in my tin :D I also need to go get £22.20 out of the bank as I took my quidc0 money out as a costa card as we do like a weekly cheeky costa and they were giving a top up for taking the money like that :D

Oh heck, siju, you must be pretty near shattered! Adorable yes, but my word what a handful. It sounds as though you've been given an early taste of what it's like to be grandparents...a real joy but quite a handful, especially if it's more than one at a time. As with your puppies, such a relief to "return them to the owners". :rotfl:

Many thanks for such a lovely welcome to lifeatthekings, siju, I always think it makes a huge difference when folk first join in on the thread. A lovely gold star :staradmin for you, and thank you.

Aha . jakes-mum, I do believe I've twigged that your DH might be 50 next year AND that you're off for a lovely weekend together. Have an amazing time when it comes.

My word young Harvey proved to be a very expensive pup this week, still thank heavens he was alright. Vets certainly know how to make money out of us!
Well done with potting made as a result of one thing or another.

Crikey Clare, what a coincidence to have a free 20p a day to pot!! Very well observed! ;)

£15 has found it's way into my pot - post shopping and.....;)

Have a wonderful weekend folks. :j
    Don't forget....your pots too get hungry!! ;)

Went to Carfest yesterday. Very long day and late night but well worth it. The look on my son’s face when a full sized Lightening McQueen went round the track was worth the ticket price in itself and then came the dancing diggers and a sit inside a JCB :p. He persuaded me that a ride on the steam powered big wheel was a good idea, I wasn’t sure myself when we were swinging in our open seat at the top when they were loading passengers below! The merry go round felt so much safer. He had the ritual humiliation of Mum Dancing, best to get it over with whilst he’s young but Sister Bliss did a DJ set and it was my era.........I also knew most of the words to The Jacksons set but I blame my older sister for that.

Could have spent a lot but we probably only covered half of it so didn’t. Came home with money so I’ve just potted £20! :T

  • Managed to put another £25.00 into my tin yesterday. I was so tempted to use it on some new bath items but thought that I could put it to better use so it went in the tin(plus I do have lots of bubble bath already that I haven't used:D

Feeling slightly low today as I've gained 1 3/4 pounds this week but i blame that on it being the wrong time of the month:p Should be gone in a day or two and I'll be back on track:j

Been a while since I posted. Not a huge amount happening. Have been potting away when had spare funds. Now have over £219 in it.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
